IAnd finally, MK has removed the Splash Mountain kiosk and they are directing people to the Adventureland breezeway (the bathroom corridor between adventure and frontier lands. BUT there is no kiosk there either. They are now located only in fantasy faire (philharmagic), storybook circus (in the tent where you get dumbo and barnstormer FPs) and at the front of the park (city hall - left as you enter the park and the town hall? Not sure of its name- right as you enter the park). I have no idea what is going on with that but it really sucked to have to take a lap around the park just to find one.

Wow. That does suck. Storybook Circus and the city hall area are both such remote areas. You'd think they'd locat the kiosks somewhat centrally. But then I guess they'd want them in areas that don't get a lot of traffic, since one of the goals of My Magic+ is supposed to be to relieve congestion in the parks. Maybe one should go on Tom Sawyer Island. :rotfl:

They announced a while back that they would in general be located at or near the inside Guest Relations locations - concentrate more of them in one location and near where they'd already have CMs.

Wondering if anybody has heard any rumors about how it is supposed to work with offsite guests? We are coming in April and will be staying at Coronado for a few days. However, we might have a chance to stay at SOG instead, and with prices the way they are during that time of year will probably like to take it. But I am concerned about whether or not we can get a MB ahead of time if we switch, so we can link it and make all our FP+ reservations and the like. If we are staying at SOG and have a UT ticket, can we get a MB before we leave for out trip? I know SOG has some of the benefits of staying at the resorts to a point, but their reservations are separate from Disney. We will be arriving mid-day and planned to spend the remainder of the day at HS after checking in...would hate to spend a couple of hours at Guest Services setting up a MB. I was hoping to make reservations later that day for TSM, RnR and ToT before we got there ;)!

I know it is early, but just wondering if any word has come out regarding this?
Thanks!

All we know is that Disney has said that off-site guests will be able to purchase MagicBands as an "upgrade" from their park tickets. No idea for how much (they have noted a replacement cost of $50 if you lose it more than once), or how you get them.

Note that eventually all park tickets will be RFID and will be able to utilize Fastpass+ - a MagicBand is not required. In fact, they will be able to do everything an MB can do, except for those experiences that require the active transmitter in the bands - which nothing utilizes yet.

Would be great if the Updates to the first posting in this thread tried to keep track of where the FP+ kiosks are located in each park. Could be very useful info to a lot of folks.

Of course, that might be like trying to track a constantly moving target.
:goodvibes

Maybe "Location of FP+ kiosks" needs a thread of its own?

Hi, just wondering if someone could point me in the right direction?
Thanks!

I know I'm late to the party and have been reading up on Magic Bands and FP+ for the past two days trying to get up to speed, but I have to admit, I am still confused.

I was wondering if I might be able to get a step by step instruction on how to get things in order in the event the testing continues into Nov? I am still 60+ days out.

1. Does everyone in the party need to have a profile set up with an email address?

2. I have MDE set up, but noticed that my tickets list a bunch of duplicate tickets. This is happening on the rest of the family's profiles too. Do I have to call the IT line to correct those?

3. The profiles for the rest of my family are not completely correct. For example the DOB listed for my 16 yr old is my husbands. I'm not sure how the wires got crossed. Also, there seems to be old profiles with slightly different names linked to me. Should IT correct that as well and will they be able to delete old profiles from years ago?

4. Not all dining reservations are listed under mine if they were made by my DH or DS, how do I get everything linked once the profiles are corrected?

5. I believe from everything I have read that this all kicks off with online check in at 60 days from arrival, correct?

I am sorry for all the questions, I am usually able to get all my information from reading all the great information from these posts, but I will admit, this has thrown me for a complete loop!

Thank you so much for any help anyone can give.

Great, thank you. That's what I thought, but wanted to make sure.

We are staying at BC in November. If they decide yo keep this resort a test site I am wondering this...
1. Will I get a MB with a resort only booking?

2. Will I be able to add tickets that are bought on site to my band if I have one?

I am a new Disney travel agent and will get my ticket on site but my family already have theirs and they are already in MDE.

Thanks!!!

Yes.

Yes *. The CMs should be able to help with that. However, you will not be able to make Fastpass+ selections until you have a valid ticket associated with your profile.

* I don't know if you get a special class of ticket other than a MYW ticket in your case. Some classes of tickets like CM tickets don't currently work with the system.

Thank you! I'm. Also not sure if CM get in free with ID or have an actual ticket. I guess I will find out when I get there. I will be paying for an actual ticket it is just is at a slight

discount.

CMs have main gate passes for themselves. They do not work with FP+ unfortunately.

Sitting right now waiting for the Electric Light Parade in the FP+ area. It is very crowded and in my opinion not worth the FP+. We were here 45 minutes early and people were already 2 rows deep. I think they have let too many people reserve. I also don't see a lot of "policing" of the area either. People seem to just be coming in and out. I think this needs to be improved.

Thanks for the info. I was curious about that. We have passes for next week.

I was afraid that's how it would end up. I'll mark that one right of my list of ways to use FP+.

I just didn't think Disney could really do it on a limited enough basis..... sort of like hard ticket parties.

Bummer!

That's too bad. It was enjoyable last month. But I can certainly see the potential for problems and the situation will probably just get worse as more testers are added. Thanks for the update!

And good luck as they get to you whenever.. Called mine in Thursday still nothing yet..

Ha ha, called IT over 2 weeks ago and they have yet to resolve duplicate tickets showing up for us on MDE. They did acknowledge the issue though (showing on MDE only), which was, uh, comforting? Whatever, less than 40 days now...
