This is probably a dumb question, but I'm going to go ahead and ask anyway

Is there any reason to NOT put our actual names on our magic bands? I have a few more days until they have to be finalized, and I just put all of our first names alone as the imprinted name (me, DH, DS3 and DS6 months). Is that what everyone is doing, or are you putting nicknames, identifiers, or things like "mama", "dada", etc. I guess I can't think of why it would matter, but sometimes I overlook the obvious and kick myself afterwards for not doing something different :rotfl2:

It's just personal preference. From what I've seen, the names are printed on the underside of the MagicBand, so they aren't visible when you're wearing them. ;0)

I agree...it's how comfortable you are about it, but as said, they are on the inside of the band just to identify who it belongs to. If you're worried about names, you'd be more worried about them showing up on the CM's screens when you touch in. :)

Sorry to ask if this question has been answered in an earlier post. I looked but didn't see the answer and there are lots of pages to read. :confused3

Our trip isn't until Dec 1. Staying at Pop's
When I looked on DME it shows our mb's but is like grayed out and reads
0 MagicBands 0 Cards
We have the park hopper/dinning plan package.

Am I too far out to choose color and options.
If this is the case, when are you able to choose these options?

TIA

WAY too far right now. Testing is only scheduled up through the end of October. :)

Thanks, that's kind of what I figured but I guess I just need a lot of reassurance for everything new!

I can't see a problem with it, I'm leaving it as our first names. Just a few more days until I can't make changes, then they ship!:banana:

Little questions fellow Disboards friends :

Is it possible that you can only modify your FP+ selections in one MDE account? We can do it on mine but on my gf's account, it's not possible...

Thanks in advance!

I made FP+ selections using my MDE account and I can sign in to my partners MDE account and modify them.

Hi guys..couple of questions

My name is listed twice in MDE, is it i because I edited it to correct a missing hypen? it shows my corrected name and the incorrect one. For the incorrect name it says not eligible for mymagic+ or something like that. I have booked all the fast passes by clicking on my corrected version of my name..so hopefully I did that right??? I tried to delete the inncorrect name however it says this person has a existing reservation but I can't find what that reservation is?? It appears everything is under my corrected name. Do I need to be worried about anything here?

Also I have booked fast passes for another party linked to us thru MDE. For one member of the other party her fast passes don't show up when I go to view all of the reservations..but if I look at her individually I can see them. Is this just a glitch? I hate for her to arrive and then not have fp's with rest of us!

Just bumping this up..anyone have any info for me? :)

I'm sure this has been asked, but what do you do if you purchased your tickets through Undercover Tourist? I know you have to link the tickets to the reservation if you want to participate in FP+. If I don't link them, will I still be able to use my hard tickets? On the flip side, if I DO link them, will I definitely still get a KTTW card and would it work to get regular FP in the park? I'm overwhelmed :( Part of me really wants to make FP+ selections, but the other part of me doesn't want to mess with a system I already know!

Whether you link them or not they will still work, and you will use them to get in the park and get regular Fastpasses, just like always (at least for as long as regular Fastpass continues to exist). Note: If they are the old paper type, you'll probably need to trade them in for new RFID cards as the remaining legacy turnstiles are going away.

If you are staying on-site, you will definitely get a KTTW card and/or MagicBand. If you do not link your tickets, you will NOT use them to enter the park, only the actual tickets. If you do link them, you can use any of them to enter the park.

As a side effect of testing, the KTTW card currently can ALSO get regular Fastpasses, independent of the UT ticket, and regardless of whether they are linked or not.

If you have the resort concierge merge your UT ticket on to the KTTW card (like was done in the past), then the original UT ticket becomes void and can't be used for anything.

Thank you for your response. I do have the old paper type, I would have to trade them in at Guest Services when i get to the park correct?

I am staying on-site and I know that I will be getting Magic Bands (Just customized them). So let's say I link my UT ticket to my magic band, and use the magic band to enter the park, I would still be able to use my UT ticket to get regular FP? Or vice versa, I use my UT ticket to get into the park and I would still be able to use my magic band for FP+ selections?

Sorry, still trying to grasp all of this!

Better off doing it before at any of the ticket booths or outside GR. It will be easier to get in the park with an RFID card.

Yes, although as part of the testing they would prefer you to use the MagicBand to get in.

Yes, I will definitely be getting to my first park early and do it beforehand.

And thank you, you've eased my worries a little! :goodvibes

I am sure this has probably been answered and I am sorry if it is a repeat but I can not read this whole thread. Are my fast pass reservations in my magic bands so when I go to the attraction they know? Also my memory is short lol so will I get my fast pass plus reservations on some kind of ticket in the mail or my check in folder? ( Because I know I will forget the times of my fast plus attractions) Sorry I am so ignorant about fast pass plus.:confused3:confused3:confused3
