Day 3 - 7/22 - Thursday
This was the day when I realized that the reat of the vacation was going to be anything but a picinic.
We all slept in a bit on the late side & headed to MGM. We skipped breakfast & opted to have an early lunch. We took the boat over to MGM and it was crowded. We fot our Fast Passes for R & RC & went out to explore.
My sister was quite temperamental & my niece was a bit unhappy as well. We went to MuppetVision & then went to Toy Story Pizza Planet to eat. My daughter & I were a bit hesitant to say much of anything because the tension was quite thick.
After taking in the Backlot, we went back to R&RC & got on the ride (niece cried). I was a bit lost as to how to get them up & enjoying things. They both seemed miserable & there was noting I could do to cheer them up.
We ended up splitting up once more & net up again at 6:00 for our Fantasmic dinner at Hollywood & Vine.
We were seated pretty quickly at H & V. Our server was wonderful & the food was good. The kids had a really good time at the dessert bar & I really appreciated a nice cold beer. My sister really didn't like dinner, but the kids had a great time.
After dinner, we were stuffed & went through the stores until it was time for Fantasmic. We entered through the designated area & I figured that this would be it.....They HAD to love Fantasmic.
We got great seats in the front row & my daughter & I had a hoot of a time doing "The Wave". We had a man in our section who sort of took control of everything & got everyone (except my sister) in the spirit!
My daughter & I went up to get drinks & snacks for everyone and had a ball talking to CM's. We went back down to our seats and got glow-necklaces for the kids & Fantasmic started.
Well......I loved the show, my daughter loved the show, my niece liked it, but my sister didn't. After the show, we made a quick exit (got out before the masses) and headed back to the Dolphin.
The kid's wanted to swim, so, againts my sister's wishes, we went to the Grotto Pool.
The pool was wonderful. There were quite a few bugs in it, but they had a fabulous time. I think it was the first time I saw my niece really laugh.
