My Work Horror....

Well I read post after post here of people with major health problems for them and their families, people out of work, people womdering how to pay their home heating oil costs and those that don't even have a job. To me this seems real trivial in light of the things most people are going through. I have more then several coach bags, all I love and barring the fact that my cell phone wasn't in there to wipe the numbers our I wouldn't bat an eye. So what if the co worker got a little frantic, just ignore her. There are people on here putting up with way worse work situations then this just praying they get to keep their jobs.

I've been sitting here debating whether to not to respond tonight. For those of you who asked, today went fine. I didn't really say much to her, just did what I had to get done, and she never asked any questions.
I'm glad that you decided to post again. Don't let it get to you, people are really snippy lately. Hopefully a lot of the stress will be gone soon. :thumbsup2

SharpMomOfTwo - I really am sorry that you had a bad day, and that there's tension between you and your coworker. I also hope that your purse can be cleaned and is okay.

I know I may have sounded harsh in my earlier response, and if I did I apologize for that. I know several people who always talk about the price of things they buy as a means of bragging and I thought of them when you mentioned you should have known that you would get flamed, and so I was trying to explain the thought process that might cause people to fixate on that part of your post.

It doesn't matter if other people are having worse days - that doesn't make your day any better. There's always someone worse off than we are, but we all still have bad days even if our problems might seem trivial to someone else. That doesn't make your feelings any less valid. And of course it doesn't matter how much you earn - that has nothing to do with whether you are having a bad day or whether you "deserve" any particular type of purse.

It doesn't matter how much your purse cost. If anyone is jealous that's their own problem - a LV bag is certainly an item that almost anyone could get for themselves if they chose to prioritize it and save up for it. If your coworker really was jealous, that's just silly and she shouldn't take it out on you. Maybe she was just having a bad day of her own and the distraction of the purse issue was just the thing that pushed her over the edge.

I'm sure the fact that it was a gift makes it even more special to you and I can understand why you'd be unhappy that it might be ruined. I hope that once it's dried and cleaned that it is as good as new.

I still think it would have been better to leave the price out of your post simply because the information wasn't necessary, but I'm sorry that I piled that on you while you were already having a bad day.
