My Way vs. PAP

I was trying to compare a "blinged out" 10 day My way ticket vs. a PAP w/DVC discount.

On the site, DVC PAP's are $390 adult, $332 child.

My Way's are $377 and $338, so there's not much difference.

The big reason why I'm comparing the 2 is I'm not sure if we'll be spending 10 days in a 12-month period at WDW. So here are my questions:

If we go the My Way route, should we get at least 1 PAP, just for the PAP discounts? If so, can you use a child's PAP to get discounts? (I doubt we'll be using it for room discounts.)

Where's the cheapest place to get My Way's?

Another consideration, is that by getting an AP, you will now be eligible to purchase the Dining Experience card, good for 20% off at most WDW full service restaurants, some counter service restaurants, and most "adult" drinks. The cost for the DDE card would be $50 for 1 year. This used to be available to FL residents only.

I think the right comparison is the after tax price for the DVC PAPs dvc the MYW 10 day premium pack with no expiration with 5 pluses. (I am getting my numbers from the Ticket Comparison Chart on Deb Wills' AllEarsNet.com)

DVC PAP: $415.35 adult/ $353.58 child (under 10)
MYW 10 day super ticket: $401.51 adult/ $359.97 child (under 10)

So it's looking like you may want to do the MYW for the 10 and older folks and the young'uns on PAPs That way you are entitled to AP holder room and dining dicounts (but not the DDE membership) and you have some spare days at the end of the year, if you don;t go all 10 days.

Still and all, I think I would lean toward the AP or PAP for any year where I was going for more than about 6 or 7 days total over multiple visits. Now that they have the DDE membership available for AP holders, the benefits of never leaving Disney property are sooo much better (maybe they heard the griping here).

Believe I read somewhere that you must be an adult to purchase the DDE - so if that is one of the discounts cruise-o-matic wants, he/she will need to purchase an adult's AP/PAP.
