My Trip Plan to DCA - Your Opinions Please?

The way everyone is suggesting will look more like this:

9:30 AM: Get World of Color FastPasses

9:45 AM: Get FPs for Soarin' (you can have them at the same time as the WOC ones), then line up at the rope to go back to TSMM when they do the rope drop--it is right there past GRR.

10:00 AM: Ride TSMM

10:30 AM: Ride GRR 2x (bring ponchos or spend the rest of the day wet)

11:00 AM: Ride Soarin' Over California (your FPs are likely good by now, if not save till your big chunk of free time that afternoon)

11:40 AM: Ride California Screamin' (Single Rider) (2x)

12:10 PM: Ride Mickey's Fun Wheel (Eat if Possible)

12:30 PM: Ride MaliBoomer

(Eat if there's time and was not possible to eat at Mickey's Fun Wheel)

1:10 PM: Get TOT FP

1:15-3:05 PM: ??? Eat?? Go to Bug's land? Ride TOT if short line, and get FPs for it for later too?

3:05 PM: Watch Aladdin @ the Hyperion Theater

4:15 PM: Ride Tower of Terror (Using FastPass)

5:15 PM: Watch Pixar Play Parade

5:45 PM: Ride Mulholland Madness

6:10 PM: Ride Monsters Inc.

6:45 PM: Free Time (Pics, snacks, etc.)

7:30 PM: Go to World of Color Queue

9:05 PM: Watch World of Color

9:30 PM: Go Home

I'm not sure CS has a single rider line. That would be one person from that line per train. Anyone know different?

Also I would guess if you get your soaring FP early enough the return time will allow you to get a FP for CS by 10 or 10:30. You might be able to grab one when you exit TSMM.

Also if you want to do the inner funwheel, you may want to eat after.

Last Sunday, we went, I was the only one who rode, so i took advantage of the Single Riders line… It wasn't THAT quick, buut it's faster than the regular line or the Fastpass. :thumbsup2

10:30 AM: Ride GRR 2x (bring ponchos or spend the rest of the day wet)

OR I can bring replacement shirts to change into after… (don't really care much about the pants.) :goodvibes

Use the free lockers at GRR to stash your extra shirt in.:thumbsup2

There is a significant gap in your FP strategy. Either grab a Screaming FP or refastpass Soaring when you ride it at 11am.

And why the long gap between Aladdin and Tot (3:05-4:15)? They are right next to each other. Make sure you sit near the exit at Aladdin. Then book to ToT immediately after Aladdin ends. Usually the wait will be very short if you hurry.

Also I never FP Tot, its just not worth it and half the time the FP machines are off anyways. usually only FP Soaring/CS.

Also you should ride Monsters INC after Tot and before the Pixar Play parade. Otherwise you are needlessly backtracking after riding mullholland. You should ride mulloland before you get in line for WOC or earlier in the morning while you are doing the other rides in the back area of the park. Backtracking early is definitely worth it for the line intensive rides like TSMM and Soaring. Not so much for rides Mulloland in the middle of the day.

Also is there a reason you are not going into the Animation building? I think thats one of the best attractions in DCA. Turtle Talk, the animation class and the Toy Story zoetrope (think thats what its called) all rock

Here's what I would do:

9:30 AM: Get World of Color FastPasses

9:45 AM: Get FPs for Soarin' (you can have them at the same time as the WOC ones), then line up at the rope to go back to TSMM when they do the rope drop--it is right there past GRR.

10:00 AM: Ride TSMM

10:30 AM: Ride GRR 2x (bring ponchos or spend the rest of the day wet)

11:00 AM: Get another Soaring FP or Get Mulloland FP (if available) after riding Soaring
11:05 Ride Soarin' Over California

11:35 Get mulloland FP if you didnt grab 2nd Soaring FP
11:40 AM: Ride California Screamin' (Single Rider) (2x)

12:10 PM: Ride Mickey's Fun Wheel (Eat if Possible)

12:30 PM: Ride MaliBoomer

1:00 PM Ride Mulloland

(Eat if there's time and was not possible to eat at Mickey's Fun Wheel)

1:15-3:05 PM: ??? Eat?? Go to Bug's land? Ride TOT if short line, and get FPs for it for later too?

----Your FP window will be open at 1pm either way if you got Soaring or Mulloland FP. you can get a ToT FP if you want, personally I would get another Soaring FP and ride Soaring if you got a FP at 11am.

3:05 PM: Watch Aladdin @ the Hyperion Theater

3:50 PM: Ride Tower of Terror (grab FP if available if you want.)
4:15PM Ride Monsters Inc.
4:40 Check out Animation Bldg. if there's time

5:15 PM: Watch Pixar Play Parade

5:30 check out Animation Bldg id you didnt have time before. Or use another Soaring FP if you have it. or ToT FP

6:15 PM: Ride Mulholland Madness if you didnt earlier

6:45 PM: Free Time (Pics, snacks, etc.)

7:30 PM: Go to World of Color Queue

9:05 PM: Watch World of Color

9:30 PM: Go Home

thanx!!!! :goodvibes

Muholland Madness is pretty intense for someone who doesn't like coasters (or heights) It freaks me out...I rode it once thinking it looked small and harmless but the turns at 10 stories up are SCARY! I hated it!!!

Although I loved Screamin...for me it was smooth and one upside down loop is okay.
