My trip home from work today

Heading home from work today was more eventful then usual. I travel down a fairly busy four lane road to and from work. Heading home today, I noticed fire trucks and a rescue squad going in the opposite direction. I am stopped at the red light to turn onto U.S. 1 and I see a helicopter flying over the roadway. Think it is heading to the accident. I then see a couple of police cars with lights and sirens turn down the road and head in the same direction that the firetrucks and rescue had headed. I then noticed that they stopped not to far down from the light. So I am thinking that they are going to block traffic for the helicopter to land on the road. I then just happened to look in the driver's side mirror and what do I see. I see a kid easing out of the car with his hands in the air and a police officer standing behind him with his pistol drawn (at least it looked like he had it drawn). The kid then eases away from the car and kneels down and assumes the position. The police officer then slowly walks towards him and starts to handcuff him. Then the darn light turned green.

I would have gotten one of those panicky feelings that they were coming after me.
