In the last month he has broken 2 DVD players and a VCR. I found a DVD in the VCR and once I removed that, the VCR was fixed. He ripped the door off of the portable DVD in the playroom and did something to the DVD in our bedroom. The DVD player in our bedroom remains broken. I'm guessing we will find something stuffed in there.

If there is a hole, he will put something in it. If there is a button, he will push it...alot. If there is a door, he will open it, and close it, and repeat. If it can be disassembled, he can do it.

He sticks his tongue out and wiggles it while he concentrates on his destruction.

His newest trick is that he has figured out how to open our $50 state of the art "baby proof" gates. Not to mention the door handle covers and cabinet locks.

I remember people telling me that toddlers will run you ragged and my daughter was such a little princess and I laughed and wondered what they were talking about.

Now I know.

If it wasn't for the sweet little hugs where he pats me on the back and says "awww" I might have to offer him up. ;)

:rotfl:

I mean, I'm really sorry. I remember how frustrating it was. :(

:rotfl:

I'll take him!!!
He's such a cutie! Look at that face! :) And I love the name Elliot! You don't see that name that often!

Now - is that a picture of your daughter feed him jelly beans? did any end up up his nose? heheheh

A mom told me this at a baby shower last weekend "Never wish any of the time away...before you know it they are off to college"

:)

Oh yes, how true. It seems like yesterday my daughter was his age.

Yes, she is feeding him a jelly bean. He wouldn't stick anything edible up his nose as they are far too yummy to be wasted on experimentation.

How old is he MosMom our son loves to climb on things he is 1.5 and just loves to get into things and play with stuff he shouldn't ie the wifes disney snowglobes. I to found a DVD stuffed into our VCR and a straw in there among other things. He loves to play with the car keys and he often sets off the car alarm. HE broke one of our oldest daughters snow globes and seems determined to play with all the DVD's nomatter where we put them or how high we store them. He will climb the entertainment centre to try and get the fish in the tank to. We are putting up gates and stuff everywhere the girls were not like this I hope he outgrows it soon.

That is my story also. My daughter was an angel, my son was into EVERYTHING.

It reversed when they were teenagers. My daughter got into everything, my son was a straight arrow.

He is 21 months old so they are about the same age.

It is driving me

Hey, now listen there could be two of him.

My twins have broken 3 vcrs
2 dvd players
one dvd vcr combo deal

Drawn a Dora the explorer map in paint pens on the master bedroom rug.

Painted the walls with vaseline. That was a tough one to clean up.;)

Broken the fridge door twice!

Believe me I could keep going. 90% of the destruction was between 18mts and 2 and a half. It is finnally starting to taper off.

It does get better. Than of course they will start to drive!!! Then it really gets fun.:earseek:

Well if you want I can send my son to visit for a week then you can send the two of them here for a week. How big is your little guy ours is 32 pounds and 35 inches tall

LOL! That's too funny!

And I'm in the process of knocking on wood right now since my DS is 9 1/2 months right now and working on becoming mobile! ;)

It was my second that got to me also. What a hand full he still is. I often say that had he been the first born, his brother wouldn't have had a chance. ;)

I know in due time he will grow out of it. I wouldn't trade him for the world but sometimes it seems like he just does things because he knows it will get a rise out of me.

Since Elliot's good with his hands, maybe he'll end up doing something great like surgery. There is hope and maybe a good reason he's figuring out the things that he does!!

I know it's only a matter of time before my own DS settles down --hopefully well before the teenage years. :scared:

Been there, done that.........4 times, lol. Boys just seem to be very very busy!

Our oldest daughter was fine no problems the second daughter was into things a little more buy our son well lets just say since he came around I have started getting grey hair.

Oh my, I could have written this thread! My three year old seems to have made it his mission in life to break, bite, tear, write on or otherwise destroy anything he puts his hands on.

What's frustrating is that he now says "I'm sorry, I'm sorry"....as he's doing it, so he know he's wrong!

I feel your pain!

Lori P. :)

Don't think it could just be boys either. My DH and I estimated that my youngest DD did about $1500 in damage in one week. I watched her run across the living room unto the rocking chair, causing it to rock back and put a hole in our wall :earseek:

This was the same week, she opened the door to a cabinet a little too far back and broke it, and spilled nail polish on the carpet. I can't remember what else she did but we were just dumbstuck at how fast she could destoy.

Magic Markers are banned from our house.

It's funny because I could tell when I was pregnant that she was going to be a wild one. She moved so much more than her sister ever did. And it turned out so true. But she is also the most loving little girl.

I love both my girls! And would NOT trade either of them! princess: princess:

We have not purchased a new house for that reason! Boys are destructive, all four of mine were! The youngest just turned 6 and we are just now talking about moving to a nice NEW house!;)

Wow, I thought my children were bad.

Just wait until they are teenagers. They will cause the refridgerator and cabinets to have mass empty places. You can refill them over and over and it will keep happening. There toys will be real cars that they can see whos out runs whos. Hopefully they are not challenging the police at the time. They will grip at their teachers for making them use so much paper which they claim kills a tree. Soon after the grip session they will be writing notes to other students, using up all the paper you bought them.

Your water bill will sky rocket. They will have the cleanist car on the block. To bad they do not take so much pride in their room.

ect, ect, ect

Don't worry, it only gets worse!!!!(I have DS4 and DS6!!):rotfl:

I know how you feel MosMom :) Miss Maddy likes to color on carpets and get into Mommy's makeup :)
