Well I didn’t think I’d be posting this so soon after my other thread.
We decided that although it all made sense to buy CCV, the heart wants what it wants. We did feel like BCV is a bit overpriced currently so we just had an offer accepted on BWV for 150 points! I made what I thought was a bit of a cheeky offer but 2 phone calls later and they accepted. They weren’t willing to negotiate closing/dues for October UY but I saved $1000 on the offer so not super bothered.

Perhaps we rushed in a little quick but sometimes the best time to do something was yesterday.

Now I need to figure out how to rent out points as a UK owner

congrats!!! WE just offered on a OCT UY BWV too! we needed an add on and small and we offered low and accepted too! Im thinking it may have been same seller!!!!! Ours is the 25 pt loaded BWV OCT UY, it has 50/25/25... was listed at 120.00 and we offered 100 and accepted!

At the moment in time I can only recommend https://dvcrequest.com/ you get 70% (usually by PayPal) when you make a booking and remaining 30% when renter checks in
You might get more doing it yourself but that’s a bit daunting for a new member
Please read up on tax requirements for US and UK as you should not assume there is nothing to report.

Well done! I've also done the same thing and made a fairly quick decision to buy a resale contract in the last week or so. It's now in ROFR so I just have wait now. I now kind of miss obsessing over the resale websites, best use year, offers etc!!

I'm also a UK owner looking at renting occasionally - have a look at David's Vacation Club rentals. It seems like a quite straightforward process.

Hi - yes I did! The booking restrictions aren't ideal but it's where I want to stay, plus there's a chance I'll add on another contract somewhere else in a few years.

Once you get all of your points and book all your vacations you do feel kind of a restless loss. I just banked my remaining points so I wouldnt be tempted to use them
