My Son Loves Halloween...5/5 3 updates! Main Street, castle, statue photos

Great pictures of Tom Sawyer Island! That is an attraction we don't usually do but it was nice when we decided to go there in May. Gotta try something different sometimes!

We haved done TSI, but never ridden the train from the gate to Frontierland. My Jacob loves TSI. The last couple of times we have been at night and of course it was closed.

I have one of those pics with the train coming through also. Same as you I sat and waited for it. The view of HM is the best from the island.

You know, I have never set foot on TSI??? I've heard that it is not stroller friendly. I am thinking about taking Aubrey when we go in May. Do you think it's toddler (or 3.5 year old) friendly?

The BTMRR shot was definitely worth the wait! I love it:lovestruc

TSI is one place, the only place in the MK that we have never visited!

I'm so glad you both enjoyed it!

Glad to see you posting again. :goodvibes

Kathy

This was our first time. Even my first time, I don't remember it at all from when I was a kid.

Thanks!
I'm glad I found the time to post, now I have to catch up on everything I'm reading.

Great pictures from Tom Sawyer Island! (Especially that one of the BTMRR train!!)

I might have to stop by there next time I go.

Thanks!
It was a nice place to walk around and take some pictures.

TSI looked really good fun - we'll need to check it out as we've missed it the last couple of trips! The BTMRR photo was worth the wait!
Impatient child??? Never heard of that occurence before ;)

Di x

It was a lot of fun! We will definately go back. Jacob was just telling Hannah she needed to go there next time.
There are also a lot of caves to check out, but they were too dark for photos.
TSI has been on the "to do" list for the past two trips. We finally fit it in!

At least Hannah was not waiting, she has quite the "impatient" pose, eye rolling and sighing included.

We tried a lot of things we had never made it on before, and missed a few of the ones we have always done. Mostly the "girly" or "kiddish" rides were skipped. I let Jacob decide what we were riding. If we hadn't chosen MK this afternoon we never would have made it to TSI, it was closed every other time we were in the MK.

I can see why your Jacob loves it. Great for exploring.
We took the train from Frontierland to Main St. a couple of years ago.
Jacob had it high on his "must do" list this trip.
It was quicker, easier than walking!
I had read about a "luggage" area where some characters have bags, but I couldn't find it. Couldn't remember which station it was at. :confused3

I really excited to see HM so well, and BTMRR, and everything else.

Definately not stoller friendly! Winding paths, hills, wooden plank bridges, narrow caves.
I would say it depends on her mood. The paths wind around and split a lot, so if she were to run ahead, and the path split, it would be easy to get lost. There was a small playground set over there. Also there are a lot of dark caves, which could be considered scary by some kids, but can be skipped. The fort involves a lot of stairs, but can also be skipped, it might be fun to climb though. I recall a little boy in there climbing all around.

This show was just ending when we got back from TSI.

mk202.jpg

The Woody's Round up show was scheduled to end during our stay, so I think this was it's replacement.

We never did see the Woody show.

Took some random photos as we headed through the park.

We had picked up FP for BTMRR either before or after TSI.
Jacob wanted to go to the Hall of President's so we though that would be a good way to wait. No Luck. We had just missed a show. :sad2:

mk207.jpg

So we headed across the park...
Passed by the castle...
mk208.jpg

And into Tomorrowland...

Next set of photos are Jacob's, so its his turn....

Good pictures!

I'm sad to hear about Woody's Round Up, I was hoping to get to see that. Oh well!

I would have liked to have seen Woody too. :sad2:
Maybe it will change back at some point.

Wow! It looks really empty in that castle picture!

It really does. :lmao:
That was one of our most crowded days though. :confused3
Later we would have problems trying to get some photos that involved part of the castle. :headache:

We got into Tommorowland and headed over to the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor. The wait wasn't long, but it wasn't short.

mk210.jpg

I loved the show! It was hilarious. My favorite joke was the reoccurring "that guy" joke. (If you haven't seen it you won't know what I'm talking about). I really like it.

After that we went on the TTA! I had really wanted to ride. My mom keeps referring to it as The People Mover.

The TTA was really fun! It was actually the ride we went on the most (besides BTMRR).

Next my mom is going to post her Tommorowland pics and then its

Hall of Presidents and
Frointeirland! (including Big Thunda Mountain: The Wildest Ride in the Wilderness!)

I call the TTA the People Mover also. I hate it is going to shut down same time as Space Mountain, but guess that is expected. Its just a nice little trip.

Great pics. And I like the "That Guy" joke also.:rotfl:

Good pictures at Tom Sawyer Island. I especially like the nature ones.

The 'that guy' at the last Monsters, Inc. show we saw got up and moved after the first couple of times they spotlighted him! He looked very confused at the whole thing, so I wondered if maybe he didn't speak English and didn't know what was being said or what the joke was.

:rotfl:

It's kind of sad also though.

Nice update Jacob!

I love Monsters, Inc! My boyfriend's secret dream is to be "that guy!" He kept wanting to go back to the show to get a chance of being him.

Half the time I can not remember what its supposed to be now. I can never come up with TTA quickly. :rotfl:

I was amazed at all the great photo oppurtunities.
I'd love to go back and take more.

That's too bad if he didn't know.
I don't think I'd enjoy being on the screen either.

:rotfl: It was a really funny show. I'm glad we finally got over to see it!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hannah is home sick today, so we are just hanging out. The nurse sent her home early yesterday.

Yesterday she watched High School Musical 1&2, we have not gotten 3 yet. She has several gift cards so she can get it when we get to the store.
Today she is watching all three Little Mermaid movies. And is almost done.

A couple of nights ago I had a dream we were at the MK.
It had a lot of really crazy family stuff in it. We were with the 3 relatives least likely to ever go to Disney with us??? so I'll leave that stuff out.

The most vivid part of the dream was riding Peter Pan.

We were headed over to BTMRR to take Hannah on for the first time, when I woke up.
I was telling Jacob about the dream, and that I woke up and felt so disappointed Hannah did not get to ride. He said "Forget Hannah, I didn't get to ride BTM in your dream." :rotfl:

I think the dream may have been a result of listening to the event party music the night before. :rolleyes1
Plus Jacob had been showing Hannah a youtube video that night as well.

I have been taking a few photos around here too.
I went to a small Botanic center at Roger Williams Park and enjoyed being in the tropics for a couple of hours. I spent some time sitting in the sun, enjoying the view. The only thing missing were little lizards running around. :rolleyes1

I put some photos up on photobucket for my aunt.
If anyone is interested in seeing them the first page is here.

Botanic Center Photos

We went to the Flower and Garden show last month too.
Nice to get a little break from the winter.

We head to Ft. Lauderdale for vacation in a month. We are really looking forward to that!!!!

Jacob enjoying the "TTA". ;)

mk217.jpg

We got to watch the races!
mk219.jpg

mk220.jpg

mk221.jpg

After the TTA I was really thirsty so we found some refreshments.
I got a pink lemonade in a bottle with a cap.
I tried to convince Jacob to do the same but he wanted...

A frozen lemonade.
mk222.jpg

I knew Jacob would never finish the frozen lemonade, and we were heading to ride BTMRR. He insisted he could put the cover back on and put it in the backpack and it would be fine.

I don't think Jacob wants to think about what happened later. :sad2:

By then we could get another FP, so we picked up a set for Space Mountain.
mk229.jpg

We headed back across the park to use the BTMRR FPs.

Through Liberty Square.
mk223.jpg

The Liberty Tree.
mk226.jpg

As we passed through Frontierland I saw a cart selling these.
I thought they were so cute.
I just might get Bullseye next trip.

mk227.jpg

They had Mickey too.
mk228.jpg

Jacob got tired of the frozen lemonade in liberty square, about halfway through frontierland, I realized the bag was all sticky. :headache:
Turns out the cover didn't stay on in the bag.:sad2:

Oh no!!! I just knew that's what you were going to say! Mum's intuition....:headache: :headache:

Still the photos looked good! My Heather got sent home from school yesterday, but she just has a wee cold. She's fine, so back at school today! Hope Hannah is feeling better soon!

Very vivid dream!

How is it that it is obvious to adults, but not to kids? :sad2:
We rinsed out the bag - which had nothing else in it, and I made him carry it. It is a little collapsible thing, so I did miss it the rest of the trip.

Glad Heather is feeling better.
Hopefully Hannah will be back at school tomorrow. She has a cold, but is getting a headache with it.

:scared1: to the Frozen Lemonade! I hate sticky! I would not have been pleased... haha.

Great pictures. I love the little Woody and Bullseye.

I had a very vivid dream about MK the other night also! We were at MNSSHP and it seemed so real even though I've never been there before. It must be your TR makes it seem like I'm there!
