Last night I was poking around in it (it's a mini fridge) and I saw that it was turned about halfway between Medium and Maximum. I figured that it didn't have to be up that high, so I turned it down to Medium.

This morning, I open it up, and lo and behold, everything's frozen!! My grapefruit juice has beecome a grapefruit slushy, my milk has a pleasant layer of ice on it, and my Brita pitcher is frozen solid! Before I turned the power down, everything was nice and liquidy. Sheesh.

I think it has to go back to refrigerator school, since it hasn't learned to listen to instructions yet.  ;)

Haven't you ever heard: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" ?

Hope it gets back to the right climate and everything goes back to normal.

In 1997, we returned home from a two week vacation to a dead refrigerator. It was completely whack. Considering the mess that we found, I would have welcomed food that was frozen solid. As it was, it took weeks to get rid of "The Smell".

Perhaps your mini-fridge had iced up a bit and turning it down actually allowed it to defrost. Or maybe it just doesn't like to be "turned down". :)

Just throw what's his name out and get a new one. Then you can give it a new name, too. :p
