my points how long are gift cards good for?

I order a GC for RFC and I'm not sure I will get it in time before I leave, I'm thinking about having my daughter mail it to me on two day mail for $2 and send the GC to my room at Disney.
. If I don’t have her send the GC, how long will the GC be good for? I know most are one year, but I'm not sure about RFC.

What is the turnaround time to get Gift Cards from My Points these days?

We just planned a last minute trip leaving on Nov. 29 and I was going to order some RFC gift cards. Any chances that I will get them in time to go?

It took me over two weeks almost three weeks to get the Rain forest Cafe gift card.

Personally I thought it was a year from the time you received them. You could probably ask customer service at My Points to be sure.
I know with another program I do ( NOT MY POINTS) , I had a gift card for Olive Garden that was 18 months old and I was quite embarrassed when the waitress came back to tell me the card was no good. I later contacted the place I had earned it from to find out that they were only good for a year.

Even though that happened a few years ago, I highly recommend asking My Points that question.

I think expiration dates on gift cards ended a couple years ago for most retailers. Some states don't allow expiration dates on gift cards or gift certificates. So it was much easier to just do away with expiration dates all together. Especially for national chain retailers. I just used a bunch of Olive Garden gift cards for an anniversary celebration. Some were from as far back as 2006. I had no problems.

And this is probably too late for you(if you no longer have the gift cards). But, some states require retailers to turn over money from unclaimed gift cards to the state. Then the consumer is able to make a claim to the state for that money. Here is an article and listing on how each state handles unclaimed gift card money...

Kycha thanks I did looked at the card it doesnt have an expiration date. You can check on line to see if the card is still good at Rain Forest Cafe so I guess before I use it next year I will check the web site to make sure the money is still on the card. thanks everyone for helping me out.
