That picture is really sweet if you know them. Dad is just a total guy, played football, wrestled in high school, loves to hunt & fish, is known to be in Christmas pictures giving "the finger", but he is soooo into his kids, and just loves having kids. This has been so hard on them. Neither Mom or Dad have left Zeke's side since he was admitted. If he needs something they jump, and I've even seen them kinda fight over who gets to take care of him. That picture just really sums it up.

I've said it before, I'll say it again, Squeeze your kids extra tight and be thankful for every minute! They are a gift from above!!!!!!!!

BTW, some of those pics are from before surgery. You can see the drain tube from his head in the ones from after surgery.

Dear Sandcass, I am so sorry, and i know what your family is going through. My Daughter, and only child went through this 4 yrs. ago this past Feb. I cried so many tears, Didn't feel like living, the whole routine, i blamed myself, and begged God to take me instead of her. It will put you through Hell. Years of still going through MRI's every 4 months.
I pray that everything will be ok for your Nephew, and that you guys will be ok. No one that has been through this ordeal can understand how Heart-breaking it is.
What is your Nephew's name? Tell him the Dis Fans are pulling for him!!!!! We love you all

Okay you were RIGHT about those pictures. He looks so pitiful after the surgery. I just want to reach out and hug him. I will remember him when my 15 month old wakes up at 3 a.m. - I will remember that I am blessed to have him in my life.

I just talked to my SIL. He's not hooked up to ANYTHING, had a CAT scan this morning that showed he's doing GREAT!

A big thank you to Sandy for starting this prayer thread for my nephew, Zeke. He's healing up slowly but surely day by day. He can't wait to get home and play with his new puppy! The great news about his tumor being benign was a big relief to all.

Hey, Sandy -- it's been more than a roller coaster ride, let me tell ya. My Daddy almost died on Saturday (and had been hospitalized around the same time as Zekester). I haven't been home much, nor at work much, really. I love Disney roller coasters -- this ain't been no roller coaster ride!!!

Here too, my Gma died the day after Zeke was hospitalized, and we had just had a very tragic death in DH's family the week before.

All this has really put back into focus what's important in life.

I can't wait to bring my kids over to Becki & Rhett's to see their cousin AT HOME later this week. They've been so worried.
