My nephew and his mp3 player

My 12 year old nephew was moaning all christmas because he hadn't got a new mp3 player and his wasn't working. The reason he didn't get a new one because his "old" one wasn't that old, and it wasn't working, and he wouldn't let his mum look at it. Well my sister finally got fed up and said let me have a look to see if the battery was flat. When she looked at it she had to agree that it didn't have a flat battery like he said, in fact it hadn't got a battery in it all. Strange that, they need power to work!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes its working again now its got a battery and some tunes, seemingly he had deleted them odd what these machines need to work?
