My National Rate went down again!!

Does anyone think that the price drops are due to Dinsey's Magical Express? It's really going to take a big chunk out of profits for the car companies. For the first time I am considering not having a car in Disney. Really don't need it.

My April rate went down this week, as well. That is before Magical Express even starts.

That's an excellent rate for 12 days and you should be happy with it. It breaks down to about under $16 a day. I'm paying $268 for a 16 day rental which is a little more than $16 a day and this is one of the best rates I've ever gotten. I got a base rate of $110 a week for 2 weeks and 2 days. Your rate may drop a tad more, but don't be disappointed because you did very well! I used the same discounts as you. What was your weekly base rate?

My rate has gone from $237 for 10 days in December (at Xmas) for a full sized car to $487 for a compact/$502 for an intermediate/$516 for a full sized car.

I am thinking about not renting a car, and just using Disney transportation. But, we need to get off site for mass on Xmas, and I figure it might be convenient for our varied PS's we'll make (like Boma)

I mean, if we eat at Boma after going to AK, how will we get back to Poly, if the park is closed?

We have never rented a car before, so I do not have any clue as to what rates should be! I am happy so far!

With a combination of codes, I was able to save $30 AND get a bigger car for our week in May. That will be nice since we'll have my mother along. My only regret is that I will now have to go to the counter instead of straight out to the car but I think it's worth it. (My husband and I have a long history of getting separated while he gets luggage and I get the car)

Thank you SO much! I had originally checked out the rates with Alamo with my Annual Passport discount and the cost was about $190.

With the combination of codes with National it's $150!!! That saves me about $40. Thank you very much everyone.

Hello all. Sorry in advance if my countdown ticker isn't working. Going May 7th thru the 22nd. Started looking with Alamo on January 7th for a full size for all 15 days.

After taxes and discounts, I had $366.02. I tne switched to National after reading many DIS posts on February 16th.

Just rebooked today and I have come down almost $100 to $272.54.

I saved $30 by rebooking! I went from base rate of $126.89 for 14 days on an intermediate emerald aisle, total with taxes was $259.82. The new rate is base $111.95 for a total of $231.18! WEBK8 gave a couple more dollars off over WEBK. I joined the emerald club (for free ) and printed off the Entertainment coupon. We are leaving in 1 week! I will check later and see if it goes down more. Be careful when refreshing the page or going back as the rate does change for some reason.

Thanks to everyone here I just got a great rate on an intermediate April 17-23. I used the coupon and the 6600330 code (Priceless?) I just read someone had joined the Emerald Aisle free. Could someone tell me how to do that, please? Also, what is the priceless code. Do I need to show something to get that or belong to a certain org. Thanks for all your help. Trying to take all the kids and grandkids for a special trip on a tight budget. Every bit I save helps. Thanks to these boards I think I am going to come in on budget. Now if I could just get a room code............

The Priceless code is from Priceless Vacations, but you do not need to show any documentation when you arrive at National. There is some information on this code on the link above also.

Did you use the entertainment book coupon for your reservation too? The one most people here are using is coupon # 10009123, which is $20 off minimum 5 day rental. I believe you can print the coupon off National's site (if not, there is a link to the coupon on this board somewhere ~ I'm sure sombody will provide you with the link if needed)

Thank you!!! Yes I did use the ET coupon code and printed out the coupon from a link someone else had listed. Now I will go and sign up for EA but then I guess I will have to cancel my current reservation and then reserve again under EA??? Sorry I have so many questions

I'm not really sure if you need to cancel and rebook through Emerald Club. Maybe you could call National and have them add your Emerald Club # to your existing reservation?

If you have to cancel and rebook, I would book the new reservation first to be sure you get the same great rate then cancel the original reservation.

I have a good rate with a 1 class upgrade coupon, but I think last year the Ent book had a coupon for a 2 class upgrade. Want to check to see if it lowers my rate enough to warrant buying the new book. Thanks in advance to anyone willing to check their book and post or PM the code for me !

My May 7 to 13 reservation dropped from $116 to $106! I think that's the lowest I've ever paid! EA, priceless code, $20 entertainment coupon. I wonder if Magical Express is putting pressure on the rental rates?
