My Name Is NOT Broccoli!

That playset would be an awesome addition to the yard! I don't think the kids would ever come inside.

Wouldn't it be great? Especially for having friends over. The adults could sit out on the patio, and the kids would be occupied for a long time. Bella absolutely loves to climb, so she would exhaust herself going up, down, and all around!

Happy Friday MeMom!! :goodvibes

SSR is a lovely resort and photographs very well I think. :thumbsup2 It is a DVC resort but anyone can stay there. If I stayed there again I would like a car....too spread out for me. The real Saratoga Springs is about 2 hours from me and my niece was married in the next town over last November :bride:

Your plans look wonderful. :) It will be such a nice trip albeit short...wonderful all the same :goodvibes I am really looking forward to May now more than ever :upsidedow I can't wait to see colorful flowers and step on that pretty green grass in Epcot (yes I always test it out....it is just so soft!!! :rotfl2:) Please make sure you leave enough time (and room) for some caramel treats. You won't be disappointed :goodvibes

MeMom, I can't believe how many snow days you have had! I don't know exactly how many Kailyn and my mom have gotten, but I think they're approaching the end of their five "built in" snow days. With those days, they're already going until the end of June, and school can't go into July because of the teachers' contracts, so school administrators are discussing ideas to make up the days -- like a few weeks of going on Saturdays, or taking away either February or April vacation. I think it's pretty much all talk at this point, so who really knows what will happen. Kailyn doesn't care too much b/c she's getting out early regardless since she's a senior.

So exciting that you are leaving in just a couple of weeks! I love that you are staying at Pop since that's also our Disney "home" and I love seeing pictures from there!

Can I tell you how good it is to see you around the trip reports again?
It's really good to see you around the trip reports again! :goodvibes [/COLOR]

Thank you so much for saying that! That made me smile! :lovestruc I have really missed all the people here on the DIS. They are really wonderful folks and the only ones who understand my Disney love. ;) The only reason I've been missing is b/c I started a new part time job back in the fall and it has just taken me a while to adjust. For the last 7 years I have only been a SAHM and kept kids after school, so adding on extra responsibilities took me some time to get used to. I was pretty overwhelmed there for a while, especially during the holidays. I feel like I have gotten into a rhythm now though and things are better. I still don't have enough time to read all the TRs that I used to though. I am pretty much just reading yours for now. Maybe I can add on one or two more later on. I really miss reading them though. I know I have seen all the same kinds of pictures a million times now but it never gets old to me.

We are planning to go back to Disney this year!!!! :woohoo: We took last year off and focused on paying off our debts. It was hard at the time b/c I REALLY wanted to use that money to go to the mouse, but we new we could not afford to send our DD to Christian school if we didn't get our medical bills and car paid off (our schools around here are horrendous... much like the environment you have described at your school). Well it took us most of the year, but we got it done! Now we owe nothing except our mortgage and that is a wonderful feeling. (I'm just waiting for the car to blow up now that it is paid for! )

I am so glad we stuck it out though b/c DD is having a great year and the school is so wonderful! She is being challenged (instead of being bored) and she is learning so much about the Bible. I think she already has more scripture memorized than I do! Before they eat lunch, they all pray together, led by the teacher, and I can't tell you how awesome that is to see. I almost cried the first time I went to eat lunch with her and heard her teacher openly thanking God for all His blessings! I knew they did that, but hearing it firsthand was very touching. I couldn't help but think about my old class when I taught in public school and how much I would loved to have been able to pray with them and how much they needed that in their little lives. So anyway, I know we made the right choice by sitting last year out, but I am SOOOOO ready to get back!

All your plans sound wonderful...........heck any plans at WDW sound wonderful! :cloud9: I can't wait to read all about it!

Oh and I meant to tell you that I think your idea that you mentioned about adding on an in-law suite at Jill's is absolutely fantastic!!!!! So many people are doing that nowadays. I think it would be great for both of you. I am sure you would be a huge help to Jill being so close and it will really cut down on your living expenses so that you could change careers if you wanted to. Maybe you could teach at Brokklyn's new school! Wouldn't that be awesome! Did I mention that I think that is a WONDERFUL idea!!!! :yay:

Your plans look great! It'll be a short trip but a FUN trip. No matter what, you're in Disney with those whom you love. :goodvibes

I'm finally caught all the way up!! I cannot believe you have had 12 snow days!! You're getting more than us, and I live in the snow belt! Stay safe! :)

Wow... 12 snow days! :scared1: How are you ever going to make those up??

Enjoyed reading your upcoming plans. Looks like our only overlapping day is 3/1. I hope to get to meet you at the Big Small World meet. We'll see how our breakfast goes & if my family cooperates! Is there a set time of when you are planning to be there yet? :confused3

Your pictures of SSR look wonderful! What a peaceful looking place. That just has "relaxing vacation" written all over it! I've never seen many pictures from there, so that was a nice change. Is that resort only open to DVC members? I don't recall seeing it as one of the choices of resorts on the WDW website, but maybe I missed it. :confused3

It is available to anyone! They have some pretty reasonable prices for FL residents and AP holders from time to time. It's a really pretty resort :) One of these days I'm gonna stay in a treehouse! That's my goal now :woohoo:

12 snow days, wow! But how nice that you get to be excited for your trip early! ;)

Beautiful walk around SSR! We never walked across that bridge...it's so scenic! When we stay there next we'll explore the resort a bit more I think.

Your plans are looking great! I will see you at the Great Big Small World Meet, and maybe other times too. :goodvibes Do you know how many DISers are coming?

you mentioning POP in your plans gets me all excited because I booked there yesterday :cool1: Mentioning other resorts reminds me I need to make sure when planning the days gets here, I need to work in some visits to check out the Christmas decor!!

The trip is still in the "I hope" stage because it would mean taking time off school and my job status is still a bit questionable at this time but I got a PIN code worth snagging while I could.

We really enjoyed being able to walk back and forth to Downtown Disney. :)

I will get something from the caramel shop. I won't be able to spend too much time deciding, though, since that's our 'short on time' day. What I want is an apple, a strawberry, and some caramel corn. I could eat the strawberry there, bring the apple home for the next couple of days, and put the caramel corn in the freezer for later when I am in the throes of Disney withdrawal.

I don't think they are taking spring break, but I don't know for sure. It would help get some much needed teaching in before TCAP, but as far as what we have heard so far, they are just adding days to the end of the year. They did take Presidents' Day, and I guess they might take Good Friday. I really don't know. Today was supposed to be a make-up snow day.

Jill can send some FB pictures of Pop when we get there. :hippie:

I never thought about trying to get on at Brooklynn's school. I suppose that is a possibility. I have several years left to get to 20 here, first, and then I'll see where we stand. The first three years I was at my present school, I was in a Title I program, and they aren't giving me classroom credit for that. They are only counting when I actually started teaching in a classroom on the regular Metro payroll.

As for the MIL apartment, we've always talked about doing that off and on through the years. It was just a matter of who would have me. ;) Maybe Trent will move to Alabama, too, and Drew-boy, if he's not traveling the world taking pictures, and we'll just take up a whole cul-de-sac.

I felt the same way about my kids' school as you do about yours. I completely understand and know the 'sacrifice', although it doesn't really feel like a sacrifice, and the committment it takes to fund that.

Your plans look great! It'll be a short trip but a FUN trip. No matter what, you're in Disney with those whom you love. s

Yep. I told Trent and Jill even if it rained the whole time and we never set foot in a park, we'd find some cool places to hang out and be together and have fun.

I'm finally caught all the way up!! I cannot believe you have had 12 snow days!! You're getting more than us, and I live in the snow belt! Stay safe!

More than we have ever had. :cold: Last night was the coldest night yet, but it was also the end, at least for a while. Everything in the five day forecast looks much better.

Wow... 12 snow days! How are you ever going to make those up??

Not sure yet. I guess they'll let us know next week.

We're thinking we'll meet around 9:30, but if you don't make it, we'll probably go and do another ride or two - maybe the Carrousel and Winnie-the-Pooh - so you can still catch up with the group for a minute, I hope.

It is available to anyone! They have some pretty reasonable prices for FL residents and AP holders from time to time. It's a really pretty resort One of these days I'm gonna stay in a treehouse! That's my goal now

The treehouses do look great, and they would sleep a large group. Lots of fun!

I don't know who all is coming for sure. Everybody who is coming to Magic Kingdom on the evening of the 26th (around 5:30, close to the front or possibly at the gates) or Small World on the 1st (around 9:30) - sign in! party:

I still haven't booked for Christmas. As soon as we get the dates solidified, I am booking one room. Some of the group may be partying it up with Wigd and Shocker for a few nights, too. :dance3:

A great update MeMom. The very best kind....an upcoming trip update. I see you may try to get Tanya over to WL.....don't forget those coins for me a new Grandbaby(for my son and DIL).

I wish Ty and his Nonnie was gonna be at that Big Small World Meet! Maybe in October or New Years. We will see.

I'm sure Ty and Bella would hit it off. She loves to climb and so does Ty. He runs and climbs all day long. He's not a very good eater, he doesn't have the time. lol I saw where Jill said Bella was just over 22 pounds now. Ty will be 2 April 8th and he is only 26 pounds. He has been 26 pounds since he was 6 months old. He just keeps getting taller. lol

Have a great weekend.....

We'll try to make 9:30 on the 1st. We have CP breakfast & want to ride WTP stand-by to see the new queue but I'm sure the line won't be too bad even if we have to wait until after Small World. Zach (DS7) calls Small World his "happy ride"... or at least he used to, so I'm sure he'll be happy to come along.

I hope the day will fly by. Our parents are on the other end of things. I quite often have kids come back and say their grown-up (a lot of our kids are raised by other than their parents) didn't know what a certain word meant.

The day did fly by and without incident, thankfully. Trust me, we have plenty of parents like that at our school and where I taught before was all like that. My class is an exception this year for the most part. Remember, I have the principal's kid...:rolleyes1 Can you say stacked class??

I'm a proud momma today too because both of my kids got straight A's and glowing reports from their teachers.:goodvibes

So exciting that your trip is so close! I can't wait to see all the different topiaries this year!

Morning, I think I'm up before anyone else this morning....I have been up with some kind of stomach flu.

Can't sleep so I came to the DIS to distract myself from how bad I feel....yucky!!!

Disney news: We decided to book POFQ for the day before the cruise!!! Looking forward to it! Should be alot of fun!

Yep, I have throwing quarters at Wilderness Lodge as a mission for you and a few others. :)

I think Bella just has hollow little bird bones. She has small features all the way around. I hope she will be one of the very lucky ones for which weight issues are never a problem.

We knew you had the breakfast, and maybe Julie does, too. That's why we decided to make it about an hour and a half after opening. You can text us, if you want, or text Brook or Julie or micandminforever or whatever number you have if you miss the 9:30 boat. My thought is that as a group we could go and ride the horses and do the new Winnie the Pooh queue, and then we can go our own ways.

Congratulations to your awesome kids!

Lucky you, to have a good class. :goodvibes I have some great kids this year, but the good ones and the quiet ones get lost in the shuffle of the chaos that four of mine cause on a regular basis. When any one of them is out, it makes a huge difference. One has been suspended twice, and one has been suspended three times. The two girls have a love/hate relationship, and when they're in hate mode, they scream in each other's face. We will be sure that they are not in the same room next year. No matter how far they are separated in any class or in the cafeteria, they magnetize to each other, and then within a short time, there is a problem. It's ridiculous, and it really only got too bad after the Christmas break.

You'll like it there. Too bad it's just for one night, but since you'll be leaving for a cruise, you can't complain.

*********************************

I am meeting the girls in Cool Springs today, and we are going to go to the Discovery Center in Merfreesboro to meet up with stasieki and her girls. The temperature is climbing, and two weeks from right now, we'll be on a plane flying south. I'd say life is looking pretty good right this moment. :cool2:

Hope you guys all have a wonderful family, friends, and fun weekend!

I am putting in my request for a particular picture now.

I want a picture of MeMom hugging those palm trees at MCO. :lmao:

Have a great Saturday!
