My Name Is NOT Broccoli!

I would gladly hug a palm tree or kiss a tile (:worship:.....maybe not that one) to be at WDW now!

Someone please remind me in September that I made the right decision to cancel the spring trip..:)

It will be a nice feeling to know when we come home that we will only have 3 months until the NYE trip. :woohoo:

Hopefully the next 7 months will go by fast for us!

 ... for no Disney Store near you anymore.

I can't remember the last time I went to ours...3 hrs away....in Syracuse...:sad2:

If I didn't feel so crummy I would take a drive there today to cheer myself up. :upsidedow

I missed your pp...must have been typing.

Looks like a fun place to spend the day except for the snake....wasn't expecting that one! Eeeeek!
What a magical moment to find the Mickey stamps....amazing!
Who would have thought you would find anything Disney related there.

We will miss you on Small World, but I totally understand. Money is always a factor. If Trent was not living in Orlando right now, there would not be four trips for us this year, I can assure you.

Maybe you can treat yourself to a Disney Store trip soon. Plus, aren't you going to NY, too? That's very cool. Maybe you can meet up with Brook at the Disney Store there or at some park where the kids could play.

You know that Jill and I can pretty much find Disney in anything we do! It is possible that my plant unit has an activity called 'Behind the Seeds'. and that there will be a display in the hallway called 'Living with the Land'. :rolleyes1

OOPS, sorry looks like my previous post was in between your update.

There was more fun times for the girls...glad there were more animals and not just the sssss.

A great place to explore and learn at the same time. :thumbsup2

Yes, it was a very cool place. We won't be able to go this year, but I am going to see if I can get it approved for next year for a field trip. The bad thing about our school is that the buses run all three routes - high school, middle, and elementary, so the buses have to be back at school from anywhere by 12:30. That doesn't leave much time to travel somewhere, enjoy a decent amount of time, and get back. We kind of run through our field trips, which is no good, because our kids need so much exposure to things like this.

The girls look like they're having so much fun!
I love children's museums. That one reminds me so much of the Please Touch Museum in Philadephia.

What a fun place! The girls looked like they had a blast. I think that would be a great place for a field trip, hope you can work it out :thumbsup2

The picture of the snake took me by surprise though - gave me a little shiver when I first saw it

Just stopping by to say hello! What a cool little place. Do you remember how much it cost to go there? I want to tell Brett about it. They're always looking for things to do with Margot that aren't too expensive. Did Bella enjoy it? She and Margot are so close in age I figured if she did, Margot would.

By the way, it was great seeing all the pretty little girls.....they're all beautiful and getting SO BIG!!!

We're planning on seeing you on the 26th. :thumbsup2 I'm at a loss now for who said they might be coming over from Epcot with no hoppers, but if they do, we can just meet right outside the MK gate over on the ticket booth side. If they don't (and I really apologize for not remembering, but there have been so many DISers who have said they are going to be there this time) then we'll meet inside Magic Kingdom up front - maybe upstairs at the train station, where there are seats? I'm pretty sure daisylove is coming on the 26th. :yay:

Sounds good :thumbsup2

I immediately thought of the Winnie the Pooh treehouse.

I thought of that too as soon as I saw the picture!

That water play area looks exactly like something we have at a really cool children's museum in Providence. My grandma used to take me there all the time when I was little.

Rocking animals.

February2011026.jpg

My dad hand made me a rocking horse when I was little. I can't believe he made it himself! It's amazing! I still have it :)

Oh yes,I almost forgot about going to the Disney Store in NYC!

That will be very cool indeed!

I need to budget alot for that place.
Is there anything you'd like me to pick up for you or the girls?

Lexi asked me why we don't have a ticker for NYC trip...I told her because it was suppose to be a surprize....

I plan to do a mini TR for you, with lots of shopping pics. ;)

Here you go Lexi .... your very own countdown ticker....Mommy loves you XOXO

What a fun DIS meet and playtime. That looks like a neat place with lots of fun things to do.

The cost was $6 a person. 2 and under are free. Totally worth it! Bella had an absolute blast running around. I would suggest getting there first thing in the morning. It opens at 10:00. We got there about 12:30 and it wasn't super crowded but about 2:00 I could really tell a difference in the amount of people there. I have the pics of Bella on my camera. I will try to get them loaded and post them this afternoon.

Love the pictures of POFQ, the grounds are beautiful. Even though we stayed at POR I never did make it to POFQ to look around. I recently saw some pictures of the new POFQ rooms and they are really well appointed. I hope to stay there one day and actually take the boat to DTD this time.

The discover center looked like lots of fun. Lots to do, great place to have a dismeet.:thumbsup2

It looks like the girls had a great time at the Children's Museum! We are planning on taking Everett to one in Baltimore, maybe the weekend after next. It is so much fun now that he is walking! We took him to the National Archives and to the Natural History Smithsonian today and he had a blast toddling around and looking at everything. I can't wait to see him in action at Disney! :lovestruc

I also love how you found lots of Disney references! I call them Disney serendipity, and if you look for them, they are everywhere! I actually started a blog where I record all the little bits of Disney magic that cross my path in everyday life, its been a really fun project.

Thanks for the photos!

Tiny Town looks like so much fun! Glad you had a great DIS meet!
Good thoughts coming your way for the clipboard visit next week!

What a fun place for kids to go on a winter day. I can handle the snake, but the two headed gecko thing, gross!
I'm still in shock that you have had 12 snow days!

My last picture cracks me up. Abby isn't too adventurous (even though she has leaped across this before, she was scared). Brooklyn showed her how to do it. She is telling me she is going on Test Track. We will see in two weeks

Memom and Jill - we really had a great time yesterday and appreciate you makign the trip down here. I know our time off work and with family is precious so am happy we were able to be a part of your day yesterday.

Test track is a big step for a little girl.
Maybe as long as there are no creatures, she will be okay.
She wasn't afraid of walking on the stones, but rather the creatures in the water.

We enjoyed it. :thumbsup2
And thanks again for the pillow. That was so very sweet of you! I know you thought you had officially adopted it after so long. ;)

The girls look like they're having so much fun!

They did have fun. Anything like that where kids can have creative play is lots of fun. They could have stayed longer but we had to get going. Jill had to take me home and then still drive to Alabama. Both girls were fast asleep long before we even reached my house, and they were still asleep when Jill was getting off the interstate at her AL exit.

The picture of the snake took me by surprise though - gave me a little shiver when I first saw it

Maybe I should post a warning next time before I have a snake pop up on the screen. :)

After things settle down and we're back on a normal school schedule, I'll have my principal check out the website. I have no doubt that he would approve it, but I don't know about the system letting us go out of county.

Hey! Margot would enjoy it, and it would be a great place for Brett to take her.

Brooklynn is really growing in her thought processes. She is so fun to converse with. Bella likes to repeat everything we say, and it's pretty cute. I am so glad that they live close enough that I am able to see them pretty often. I sure do miss them when they are not around. I love talking to them on the phone and seeing the phone pictures Jill sends me randomly. I look very forward to being with them for several days in a row in a couple of weeks.

Sounds good

Sweet memories of things past. :goodvibes

We will see you not this Saturday, but the next. :yay:

No, I guess since we'll be able to go to the World of Disney, we'll have everything we need. Thanks for the offer, though! I am looking forward to seeing your pictures. You guys will have so much fun!

What a fun DIS meet and playtime. That looks like a neat place with lots of fun things to do.

Hannah and Owen would have a blast there, too. It's too far away for us to go to if you guys make a travel stop in Nashville, though. If you do, and if the time of day is right, there is a nice park right off of I65 right near me. It's very safe and family-friendly. Maybe we could have lunch or dinner there and let the kids play. That's if you come through this way. I know you said you weren't sure about how Ben wanted to travel. If it works out, maybe other area DISers could come, too.

The walk between POR and POFQ is one of my favorite on property. It is a beautiful, peaceful walk, and I get to take pictures of two resorts.

It was a good DIS meet spot. :)

Jill and I have lots of Disney serendipity then, because we find Disney in just about everything. ;)

I didn't realize you had a report going. I'll get over there to check it out. ::yes::

Tiny Town looks like so much fun! Glad you had a great DIS meet!
Good thoughts coming your way for the clipboard visit next week!

We did have fun.

I e-mailed him to see if he wanted to reschedule, but I guess he doesn't check his e-mail from home. It looks like I will only have to buy new celery and carrots, if I can do it within the next few days. The leaves on those are looking weak. Everything else is holding out.

It doesn't have two heads.
It just has a fat rear end! :rotfl:

It does kind of look like that, though.

Our whole city is surprised about our snow days. ::yes:: We have never used anywhere near this amount. Last year we had the flood, and this year we had the snow. Maybe next year, we get a 'bye'. :thumbsup2

Back to the last morning at Saratoga Springs.

If you have not been here, this is part of the eating area, with the food court to the left, the gift shop beginning where you can see it, and the hallway to the check-in lobby to the right.

Many ways to frame your memories.

They did still have resort specific merchandise here.

I thought about buying these.

I thought of a DIS friend who has quite a Mickey ears collection.

SSRStayOct2010755.jpg

We used to get these calendars, but the quality of the pictures is not the best, surprisingly, so we stopped spending the money on them.

SSRStayOct2010756.jpg

SSRStayOct2010757.jpg

We keep saying we're going to make our own with trip pictures of the girls, but we haven't gotten around to it yet.

Some of the special offers going on at the time.

*******************************************

Back to work after a four day weekend. I believe we are going to work five whole days this week. I think the two tutoring days are safe. That's more Disney money. :) No snow or ice in the forecast as far as the eye can see. Right now, I am far more interested in the forecast in Orlando starting next Saturday. (Not this one. This one will be spent getting serious about packing. ::yes::)

Have a Magnificent Monday, all!

P.S. Everyone who is coming to the DIS meets, be sure to let us know, give us your number, etc., so we can be sure to find you. We plan to have two meets - one at Magic Kingdom on Saturday early evening and one at Magic Kingdom on Tuesday morning at Small World. We hope to meet several of you for the first time, and we're looking forward to seeing 'oldies' again! :dance3:

Happy Monday, MeMom! Today starts our five weeks of having students until 4:00. Wish us luck! :wizard:

What a fun Saturday! I love the picture of Brooklyn working under the car. LOL! Too fitting that she sold you WDW stamps. ;)

Saratoga Springs has some very cute resort-specific merchandise.

A whole five day week? :scared: Good thing you have WDW in the near future to help get you through!!

I would also like to vote for mandatory warnings before snake (or bat) photos. ;) Looks like you guys had fun this weekend!

The rumor is that resort specific merchandise will be making a comeback. I hope that's true. The Saratoga Springs merchandise is cute! :thumbsup2

Have a good week!

There's nothing like a good children's museum during the winter months! We end up at those quite often ourselves this time of year. That one looks really nice! Love that shadow room. I've never seen anything like that before.

I sure do wish I could make it to one of your MK meets. :sad2:
