My Name Is NOT Broccoli!

Look at that sleeping girl! If I'm remembering right someone had to carry Bella and got tired arms...

It is such a nice stroll back from DTD though!:goodvibes

She may be small but when she falls asleep it is like carrying an anvil around. I just took her to the doctor last week and at just 2 months shy of 2 years old she weighs a whopping 22 lbs and 4 oz!

It is a fabulous walk! Very quiet and peaceful especially at night. Thank you again for generosity allowing us to have that awesome opportunity!

Thanks for the sweet birthday wishes! I'm glad you're celebrating with a snow day! :)

I'm going to Chicago this weekend to see Caroline, then I'm all business with packing!! I hope to have everything packed by Thursday night but we'll see!!

Awwww, such a sweet picture of Brooklynn asleep in her stroller! Sometimes at the end of a long park day I wish I could sleep in a stroller and have someone else push me back to the room

I enjoyed your shopping trip to DTD, can't wait to do that again myself, we're at less than 4 months now! :woohoo:

Look at all of those choices at Basin. I think it would be very hard to narrow down what you'd like to buy! :)

Loved the Basin pictures. I go in there each trip and leave empty handed.:confused3 I don't take baths and am not sure what to get others and then I get all overwhelmed. I am hoping to redo 2 of my bathrooms this summer so my plan is to grab some soaps that will match the new decor. Hopefully if I have a specific goal I will get it done.

Brooklyn asleep in the stroller is too cute! Our first trip Ellie was 3.5 and she crashed several times in our stroller. I was always grateful that my kids could do that.

We had a snow day here too. We got 2-3 inches of snow but the roads seemed fine enough to have just a two hour delay. I guess they always err on the side of caution. We were worried they would take President's Day or a Saturday but they announced an hour ago that they were taking a teacher workday in April. I'm good with that. Now, I just need spring and no more snow!!!

Kids had a snow day around here too even though we only got a couple of inches and a lot of it has melted already. It'll be gone by tomorrow! :thumbsup2

I hope Chicago is getting a little break in the weather, too. We are supposed to be in the single digits tonight, but then that may be it for us. We'll be in the 50's by Sunday. I am really hoping this is the beginning of spring for us!

I did get a lot done today, though, so it was really a good snow day.

I'm with you on that. There are times I wish I would give in and get a scooter, but I never do.

I'm glad we all take turns going to Disney World.
That way, we always have somebody reporting and bringing us back shopping pictures and food pictures and having fun pictures!

It is hard to decide, and it is not exactly cheap. You do have to choose wisely. Anything I have ever given has been well-liked by the recipient. Anything I have ever received has been well-liked, too. :)

I have used some, and some is just for decoration. I have the ginger bear bar in my Wilderness Lodge bathroom just sitting out.

Tomorrow was supposed to be a work day for teachers, but then it got changed into a make-up for a snow day. Now it may turn out to be another snow day, depending on what is going on with the side streets in Nashville. I would be all for a late arrival, but our system does not like to do that at all. There have been a few days we could easily have gone in two hours late, and then we wouldn't have wasted days.

One more random shopping picture from DTD.

'Twas the last day.
Bella was inspecting the packing.

Let's take a walk, silly little paci girl. :lovestruc

Past the playground.

The girls need a playset like that in their backyard! :thumbsup2

And the pool.

And the lake.

And across the bridge.

We stood and watched this guy for a few minutes.

We'll stop here at the Winner's Circle until next time.

We had the best kind of snow last night. We woke up to a Winter Wonderland and it had almost all melted by 2:00. The roads were fine and school was not cancelled. I can handle snow like that.

What gorgeous pictures from SSR! How much snow fell that made you get another snow day today? No snow up here for us but it's been freezing cold.

We have Parent Teacher conferences tomorrow. Honestly, I would have rather had the snow tonight.:rolleyes1 I have a very good group this year but there are still some issues and some parents who think because they are educated they know more about teaching than me. Gotta love it. I'll be glad when 6 tomorrow gets here and I can come home.

Our district had 2 hour delays for years, got rid of them, and then brought them back last year. It has saved us 5 times already from having to make up a day.

Enjoy your day tomorrow-in school or out. I know you want to get your observation done. We don't get to schedule ours so it's a tense time of year.
Good luck (that you don't need:goodvibes) and happy Friday!

All caught up.

What a nice walk around SS and from DTD.

I hope you week ends better than it bagan.

What a pretty walk around SSR! Chelsea would have loved that playground when she was younger!

MeMom, it's Friday! Doesn't that mean you get to be excited for Disney at 3:15 today? :woohoo:

Since she has a snow day again today and had one yesterday and got early dismissal on Wednesday I think she could have been excited since about 1:15 on Wednesday.

Two weeks from this moment I will be getting ready for work. The bags will be loaded in the car and I will be counting down to 3:30 when I get off and head to Nashville!

Another snow day? That is great. You can celebrate 2 weeks all day today.:cool1:
I am at about 28 days right now. Getting excited though.
Still have a sick little boy at home, but slightly better. It is his birthday today. He had a cupcake this morning with a candle. He was happy to have a cupcake for breakfast. My fingers are crossed that he will be better by tomorrow. I have to go straight home and tackle this three-tier fondant cake. Wish me luck!!

Your pictures of SSR look wonderful! What a peaceful looking place. That just has "relaxing vacation" written all over it! I've never seen many pictures from there, so that was a nice change. Is that resort only open to DVC members? I don't recall seeing it as one of the choices of resorts on the WDW website, but maybe I missed it. :confused3

That is the best kind - pretty on the lawns, but not interfering with driving. :thumbsup2

Beautiful pictures from SSR! That playset is adorable, perfect for little girls!

I'm pretty sure John and his dad could build a playset like that. ::yes::

It only takes an inch or two here for us to get out. We have lots of hills and curves, and we don't have equipment to clear snow and ice. When a layer of ice gets laid down, we're pretty much done until Mother Nature melts it. The good thing is, after today, warmer weather is on its way!!! :cool1:

I hope the day will fly by. Our parents are on the other end of things. Many of them can't write an absence excuse note correctly or help their third-graders with their homework. Our Tuesday night homework assignment is to write the Vocabulary words for the week in sentences. They are allowed to have help from adults and older siblings. I quite often have kids come back and say their grown-up (a lot of our kids are raised by other than their parents) didn't know what a certain word meant.

Today would have been a good two hour delay for us, because it is supposed to get up to 37 later.

It ended mid-week! :rotfl:

Isn't that an awesome playset? Bella would be in climbing heaven!

I guess I'll go ahead and be excited this weekend.
Since there is nothing I can do about the paperwork and observation right now, I might as well let loose, huh?!?!? :dance3:

Happy snow day....

 LET"S ALL BE EXCITTED FOR YOU AND DO THE 2 WEEKS DANCE!!!

I did very well yesterday in chopping my day into three section (housework, schoolwork, and fun time) and getting things done. I plan to do the same today.

Two weeks from today my awesome girls will be arriving. We'll be silly all night and not get much sleep, even though we'll need to. We're making Kay spend the night over here, because there is no way in the world we could count on her getting here in the early morning to make it to the airport on time.

A birthday cupcake for breakfast is sure to get him on the road to healing. :thumbsup2
Good luck on the cake. Pictures will be required. :)

Can I tell you how good it is to see you around the trip reports again?
It's really good to see you around the trip reports again! :goodvibes

SSR, as far as I know, is DVC only. Our many DVC friends can inform us if that is correct. We were allowed to be there because we have awesome friends in DVC places. :) It is beautiful. When I was putting up the pictures, I could so easily picture myself on that bridge again watching the egret. I'd be happy to be standing there again right now.

*****************************************

Since I got another snow day (I think this is #11, but it might be #12), I am going to go ahead and think Disney thoughts today.

I'll start with a little preview of what we hope to do, for those who wish to follow along.

Saturday morning - 6 something flight from BNA to MCO, kneel down and kiss the tiles on the floor of MCO, hug all the palm trees, and get on the fauxnorail. (I probably won't kiss the tiles, but I'll take a picture of them and thank them for allowing me to walk on them.)

Arrive at Pop Century around early lunch time and get checked in. What a great feeling it is to check in for a Disney stay! :woohoo: Maybe we'll get lucky and the room will be ready, but if not, it's no big deal.

We'll either eat at Pop or head on over to Magic Kingdom. It won't matter what we do or when we do it. I will be in Disney World with my girls, and Trent will be there at some point, so I will be in heaven! We will have a DIS meet maybe around 5:30, which will be somewhere up in the front of Magic Kingdom or possibly right outside the gates, depending on who all is planning to come.

How the girls are holding up will determine if we do the parade and fireworks, but I hope we can do that. I'd rather do it the 1st MK day than the last one, because the last one is our last night, so I hope that can be flexible.

Back to Pop to sleep.

Sunday - Hollywood Studios. Toy Story Mania first for Jill. Hope to say hello to Ed. The whole day is dedicated to Hollywood, so whatever anyone wants to do is fine. Kay loves Tower of Terror, so we'll probably babyswap that and let her do it twice - once with me and once with Jill. Brooklynn can decide if she is up to it when the time comes. Want to see the new Pixar parade.

We may take a swim/nap break back at the room, since it's so close, or we may go to another resort to have lunch and chill out. We'll close the day with Fantasmic.

Monday - Animal Kingdom. Trent and Tanya are taking the day off so that they can go with us. We'll safari first and Kali last, most likely. Then the plan is to go over to AKL for a zebra dome stop and a run through Zawadi. Glenda mentioned how much her mother loved Animal Kingdom Lodge, so I would like to try to find her a little something from there to send as a nice remembrance of their time there. Then from AKL, we'll go to DTD for shopping and probably some special sandwiches. :) From DTD to Pop - another day down.

Tuesday - a full Magic Kingdom day. Open the park and do our Fantasyland fun. What has been dubbed the Great Big Small World DIS Meet will occur this day. :dance3: Whatever my crew wants to do after that is good with me. The evening will either be parade and fireworks or hanging out at the pool at Pop, just depending on how things play out.

Wednesday - Epcot, Flower & Garden Festival opening ceremonies, Soarin' and Nemo, probably Figment, then a complete walk around World Showcase to see all the topiaries. I'm excited to see all the Toy Story and Cars things. A stop for caramel treats of some kind will be a must. We only have half a day, because that unmentionable bus will arrive to pick us up in the afternoon.

Woven into all that will hopefully be quick stops at Wilderness Lodge and Polynesian. Tanya has not seen WL, so I'd like to boat over there when she is with us. (Might need to do that Saturday evening and then do parade and fireworks the last night.) A visit to the Poly has just always been standard. Gotta take my ziplock bag for another pinch or two of sand. ;) If we have time, I wouldn't even mind trying to run over to All Star Movies to get some Dalmatian pictures and ideas for Bella's upcoming birthday party. I'd love to have a picture of her and Brooklynn in the TV. We might not have time for that one, though. Short trips stress me out! :crazy2:

So, that's a rough draft. It will change along the way, of course. I need all of the Disney resorts to just be side by side so that no matter which one I am staying at, I can take early morning walks to all of them. I could get in a lot of good time while everyone else is still asleep.
