My Name Is NOT Broccoli!

Connor has been calling these past ten days the "snowcation." Some of us have had a better last day than others (namely Connor who has been in a snit all day -- really that child can hold a grudge longer than anybody else I know).

Anyway, love all the shopping pictures -- I do love Rex with his mouse ears and Mickey bar. Just so cute! Seeing Christmas merchandise always makes me want to add more pennies to the NYE Disney trip jar! ;)

Great photos from AK, MeMom! DH loves the frozen bananas from the carts, and DS6 the strawberry bars! DS9 will eat the dipped mickey bars, but only the chocolate, so guess who ends up havign to eat the icecream?? :rotfl: We end up just getting the regular scoop icecream there in the park for him, otherwise it is a waste!!

I have that Stitch ornament, and I finally got the Rex this past trip .... I know it was expensive, but at least I got a little discount.. w/ my card... I wanted to have the whole toystory set... I have not eaten at the Rainforest cafe in FOREVER.

Hope you enjoyed your three day weekend! We did here, too.. :thumbsup2

Making out way out of Animal Kingdom.

I think one day I will buy one of these. They fascinate me, for some reason.

Lexi likes these too, I wonder if we will come home with one.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Good luck at school today, MeMom! I am holding out a hope that the kids are so glad to be back that they will sit, be quiet, and soak in all the teaching we need to do. :lmao:

As if going back to school wasn't enough punishment ;), Drew woke me up at 1 something coming in to get the computer, and I woke up at 3:41 to a soaking wet bathroom floor due to a leaking toilet. I think it's going to be an awesome day! Wonder what the chances are that my students will be perfect for me?!?!? :goodvibes

Sopping up the wet floor cut into my morning rituals. Gotta get ready, and I'll be back to soak is some DIS fun in a few minutes. I think I'm gonna really need it today!

aww Memom not a good start to the day. Hope the rest of the day is better.

Well, they say bad things happen in 3's. So, with the car, the heater and the toilet you should be good for a while!

Ugh, not a good start to the day. :( Hopefully it will get better from here on out.

Ugh, not a great way to start the day. I hope it only improves MeMom!

Hope the rest of your day goes better than the start!

Well. the risograph is out of ink,
but I guess we'll consider that a minor thing!

I am finally checking in this morning. It has been a rough last two weeks. My father has been in the ICU, had a pacemaker, stent placement in his heart and then a leg amputation. He is doing okay right now, but still has a long road. We are all dealing with the reality of the amputation right now. My father is becoming very down. I spend my time either at work or the hospital so I have not posted lately. I am trying to keep up with reports, but have been behind. Thanks for the prayers everyone and please keep my father and mother in your prayers. They have a long road ahead dealing with this new reality. I will keep those in my prayers that have posted lately. I know many are dealing with trials right now. Love the pictures of AK. It makes me want to be there right now.

Ohhh poor little Lily When I saw her in October I thought she was very active and curious as a young gorilla would be Her mother was never out of sight though and she was a bit stumbly then again it was on a hillside? Well I am sure she is getting the best care available

Your Rainforest frog eyes made me laugh this morning

Tracy

I feel good about the care the animals get in Disney World. I'll be disappointed if I ever hear about any factual evidence that they are not.

Happy to hear the update on Caleb. I know that it isn't easy for the family to go through this, but so wonderful to hear that he is improving.

Wow to be out for a whole week for snow. We got none, which is not surprising being in south Louisiana.

So, I am now realizing that we were at AK that day as well. I don't think we crossed paths at all though. Glad we did the next day! How excited to be chosen as a family of the day, you all certainly had breakfast in style! I think the more times I see FoTLK the more I love it. Guessing we've never been in the shop with all the EE merchandise. Putting that on my list for next time!

You would have recognized Trent by his big open mouth with food going into it! ;)

The Everest merchandise was in their 'dump shop', I guess you'd call it.

I hope we get no more snow. We are supposed to get cold temps again, though, which is a bummer. People are already reporting hig heating bills. Boo for that.

As always I'm enjoying the virtual trip to warm and sunny FL. It is sunny here but very, very cold.

Very interesting story on the gorilla. I didn't see her on my last visit so hopefully I'll see her this time!

I just love shopping at Disney... is there anything better?

Enjoy your last day of surprise vacation, MeMom!

Six weeks from today is our second Magic Kingdom day of the trip. That's a warm thought for me. :)

I very much enjoyed ten days of doing whatever I pleased. :goodvibes

Family of the Day!! That was a nice surprise. I did not realize they serve breakfast either.

I love House Hunters!! I catch the reruns at 7:30 & sometimes tape the new shows. They are on at 10:00 on Thursdays here.

I LOVE those adorable Pooh & Eyeore with their PJ's on. So cute!!

Maybe next Christmas I'll see about bringing Eeyore home, if he's on sale. :thumbsup2

I had the TV on a lot during the snow days, which is unusual for me, but I really enjoyed all those HGTV shows.

What a great day you had in AK! I'd have to say that in the treats picture, the frozen banana is my favorite. I didn't think I would like it but it was pretty yummy. DTD is way fun. Too many choices! Rex with his ears and Mickey Bar is adorable.

The strawberry bar is my favorites.

Jill already had Rex from a previous trip. I can visit him on her tree, I guess. ;)

I love the Pooh Bear in his Christmas pajamas!

They were pretty adorable.

Now I feel bad for making fun of that big headed baby gorilla. Poor thing! Who knew?

I agree about the Rex ornament. I picked it up more than once but just couldn't justify the price. It is awfully cute though.

Harper is over today, we've baked oatmeal walnut cranberry cookies, played and read books. Now she's riding the rocking bear....

Last but not least I'd like to invite you over to the new trip report. Let's hope I get this one finished!

The link is in my siggie!

Those cookie sound good. I would probably toss a few white chocolate chips in with that and eat about ten of them. That's why I am fat. I just love food. I know you guys had fun together. :cutie:

Jill found the suitcase like you got Harper. Now she's looking for the Fairies one. I'm going to stop by our TJ Maxx on the way home.

Always love the 12 days of Christmas store! That Rex ornament is too cute

Are you guys getting overwhelmingly excited that you will be in our happy place again next month?!

I decided I will let myself get excited on February 1st.
I'm already thinking of it every day, but I'm trying not to talk about it too much yet. Come February, though, all is fair in Disney talk! :dance3:

Awww...I love Eeyore and Pooh in their Christmas jammies!

Claire would sure look cute holding them, too. :lovestruc

Great AK day! I love those bead animals too but they were a bit pricey for me. I think they sell keychains and I might grab one of those when we eat at Boma this summer.

Glad to hear good news about Caleb.

Back to school tomorrow. I could go for another day off! I've been sick for a few weeks with a cough and finally went to the doctor today. Bad case of bronchitis (almost pneumonia ). She fussed at me for waiting so long to come in... I reminded her of what I did for a living... Combined with the stomach bug I had yesterday and I am ready for a fun day off!

Have a good week!

I hope you continue to recover steadily.

I will probably get a small little beaded animal someday - maybe an ant.

I love all the Animal Kingdom photos. I am counting down the days until I will be at AK taking by own pictures.

I have started my wish list of things I might need to bring home. It is nice to dream.

Not too long now!

It is nice to dream. I will be purchasing very little. If I see some Dalmatian stuff for Bella's party, that will probably be my priority.

I love the picture of Eeyore and Pooh in the little PJ's! Too cute!

When I was at the mall last week with Charles and our friend, we stopped in Rainforest Cafe just because Charles wanted to see the big tank with all the tropical fish. Something about ours smells like something, somewhere, in Disney and I was walking around trying to sniff deeply without it making too obvious what I was doing

I really like those beaded animals, too. I actually got a keychain one when I went to the aquarium with Christine because I thought it was cute. I also really like the wooden animals that they sell in the pyramid in Mexico (only on the DIS can you write something like that and people understand what you mean...), but I've never been able to justify the prices

Our RFC had a smell, too. When we would get to a certain spot in the mall, we could smell it. I wish they would bring it back. We lost our Disney Store, then our entire mall. :sad2:

The Oaxacan (sp?) wood carvings in Mexico are so neat, but yeah, the prices will make your eyes bug out a little. :upsidedow

I just can't get over how much snow you guys have gotten! And your temps are colder than ours! Although, tonight is chillyyyyyy out there, brrr! We walked over to Burger King for an extra healthy dinner, then to Starbucks for a coffee-treat and we were FROZEN by the time we got home. Good thing our landlord keeps our heat around 103 degrees. I hope it is warmer there now! It's supposed to warm up here soon, and hopefully that will melt the small piles of snow left.

I really enjoyed all your updates - the pictures from the Boneyard are very fun. We just love that place.

Isn't the walk from SSR to DTD beautiful? We really enjoyed that when we stayed there. It's such a pleasant and quick walk to all the fun on the other side of the water. I've only been inside the Christmas store once, methinks I need a closer look next time!

Me too!

It's back to the teens for us for about three nights at the end of the week. I will be so happy to be in Florida soon!

We've been in the Christmas store many, many times. There are hundreds of ornaments, stockings, and other decorations to choose from. You can be in the Christmas spirit at any time of the year. :thumbsup2

Thank you once again for shopping pics!!! I can't wait to get to the 12 Days of Christmas store! I agree with you in that I could have many themed trees, if I had the room AND the money.

The scenery along the river is beautiful. I'm going to miss riding the ferry this summer. It's such a nice little ride from POR to DTD. I like it better than riding the bus.
On another side note I just found out today that Disney no longer does Disney dollars! I guess that shows how long it's been since I've planned a REAL trip to Disney. I had to by a gift card. Hopefully the Disney store lady was right and that I can use it at Disney.

After they discontinued Disney Dollars in the stores, you could still buy them online. Have they abandoned that, too?

I enjoy the boat rides in Disney World, too. It's fun for the girls to get to ride on boats, too, since it's obviously not a common thing at home.

Think of what DIStown would look like with all of our Disney trees! :dance3:

I am trying to get my finances in order, too, CP, for these trips. I paid off the coming one, so I know I can play, sleep, and eat. I probably just can't buy anything extra, but I have the basics paid for. :cool1:

Great photos from AK, MeMom! DH loves the frozen bananas from the carts, and DS6 the strawberry bars! DS9 will eat the dipped mickey bars, but only the chocolate, so guess who ends up havign to eat the icecream?? We end up just getting the regular scoop icecream there in the park for him, otherwise it is a waste!!

I could share with your DS. I think there is too much chocolate on those ice cream bars. Together, we could take care of one. :goodvibes

Lexi likes these too, I wonder if we will come home with one.

I bet she is going to want a lot of fun Disney things. When is the big reveal?

Please know that we are all thinking of you, if that helps your spirits at all. I had a great-aunt that had a leg amputation, and she just decided to take it with the best possible attitude, so she did well. I hope that your dad will be able to get through his sad feelings as quickly as one can and face the future with determination. Seeing his grandchildren should bring a smile to his face. :)

I'm so sorry about the leaking toilet MeMom. Just what you need I am sure. I hope those kiddies were indeed perfect for you today! :)

Quick answer... they had disney dollars at fronts desks in December. My mother in law was able to get me some to send on a trip with Hannah's best friend.... little ones love those way more than Disney Dollars!

 for the leaky toilet and the back to school blues.

Love the Christmas stuff! I want that tinkerbell ornament. ;)

My DMom got a pin code in the mail today.
Good discounts on room reservations.
I tried to book a room from Christmas Eve into the New Year but the deal is only good for stays up to Dec.24. :sad2:

I will use it for the Sept. trip if Free dining doesn't come back around.

Do we get to see pics of the girls new suitcases? :thumbsup2

I am raying for your family.

I bet she is going to want a lot of fun Disney things. When is the big reveal?

I am sure she will want a great many things. She is really good about putting something back if we say she can't have it so i am hoping that it will be the same at WDW. I am planning on telling her next Tuesday so that will give her a week to get all excited about it. I think she may suspect that we are going because the other day she said something about not being there yet.:rotfl: My dh has slipped a few times in front of her but she has never said anything so I don't know if it all clicked or not. I guess I will find out when we reveal it to her and she says she already knew.:rotfl:
