OK..... how about asking the doctor for long lasting pain medicine...They should prescribe oxycontin for what you are seeing on the scan and the pain you are describing.. Now I know everyone freaks when we think oxycontin, but Tom is taking it and I have to say he acts completely normal.. just no pain. I was thinking omg he is going to act all drugged up.. not the case at all. He is now cutting back on it as the radiation seems to be taking the pressure off the nerves in his neck....he does not like to take pills either.. but I am someone who believes in no pain...things are bad enough, there does not have to have pain too..
