Rest assured, she was not alone. God was with her.

When my brother passed away last year at 48 years old, he was "alone." He had colon cancer and lived in pretty much "squallor." His caregiver didn't wait until his teenaged DD came home, and so he died between the time the caregiver left and the time his DD came home.

It gives us comfort to know that, even though there was no human there to send him home, that God was with him and he was OK.
