I was at my mom's today when she got the call about POFQ closing. I knew as soon as she answered the phone.
She was booked for 5/2-5/4 (a Fri-Sun)
Here's what she was told:
She was only offered CBR (great, the one she likes the least!) and when she sounded disappointed that she couldn't get POR (her next choice) or CSR, the CM gave her a number to call on Fri. It was a number for the "upgrade offers". She said if they were not out by Fri, to call Monday.
I think it will have to do with when you are going and what is available at the alternate hotels. CBR being the only thing available may have to do with the fact that she is booked for a weekend.
