Hi guys just got back from what I would call an interesting trip.

July 25 - Get to the airport to find out our flight is delayed 30 minutes. We have a drink and some chips in the airport bar. Our flight seems only like it took 15 minutes. Take a cab to our hotel Bally's. Easy check in and our room was HUGE. The view left a little to be desired but what do you expect from the 5th floor. We were starving so we took a walk over to Paris (which is connected to Bally's) to find a place to eat. We found a 24 hour place and had some "breakfast", hey it was midnightish! We asked for our bill and were informed that an older gentleman who was eating alone wanted to pay our bill!!! I'm not sure but I think he might have heard my best friend say " Eat up cause we don't know when we might have a chance to eat again" We went over to thank him and he said that we looked down on our luck and that not to worry things would get better. ( It was almost creepy because he was SO right) Then he told me I was one of the prettiest women he had ever seen :o and to have a good night! We were pretty shocked. Then we walked the 3 hotel blocks to the MGM Grand got harrassed the whole way there by some very scary looking men. I did notice a lack of secutiry personell on the strip. Not very safe for 2 chicks like us. Went to the club and closed it out. Walked back to our hotel which oddly enough was a much safer journey at 5am. And went to sleep.

July 26 - Went to the pool and layed out....ahhh I braved it in a two piece since I had lost 9 lbs. prior. Had a few strawberry daquaris for breakfast swam around a little and we struck up a conversation with some guy who looked like he'd be really in to himself. As the saying goes "don't judge a book by it's cover" We ended up having lunch with him at the Aladdin hotel and he was HILARIOUS!!! I can't even begin to explain but we laughed the whole time. Sarah and I went back to our hotel and took a nap and when we woke up she was SICK! Mild case of food poisoning I am guessing. I went and had dinner by myself and brought her back some bread.:( The whole night 12-4 am someone keeps pounding on our door every 45 minutes or so which we find hilarious. And some of the things we heard being yelled in the hall which were equally hilarious I can't say here. LOL.

July 27 - She wakes up feeling much better. We go have breakfast and then go to the pool. Saw our lunch friend there and were again entertained. Went back to the room and slept some more. Got ready to go out. Some of our friends from Colorado were in town for a wedding. Apparently our friends invited us to the "rehersal dinner thingy' We didn't know the people getting married and were quite embarrased and almost felt like we "crashed" their dinner. Thanks to my husband dragging me to nice restraunts I was explaining what everything was to everyone at the table :). As is usual with weddings there was one very drunk guy who was kicked out of the restruant. Again went to Studio 54 where we lost the rest of the party on accident. We felt really bad so we spent the better part of the night looking for them. FInally caught up and went back to their suite and watched a movie until 5:30. Again walking home we had too many people bugging us. It must have been the way we were dressed which I didn't think was too bad but a few people looked at us like we were "on duty"

July 28 - Had to catch our plane at 7:40 this meant we had to rush and pack our stuff and check out. We did all that and got to the airport at 7:20. Which meant we couldn't get our luggage on the plane which meant we were now on stand by. The funniest thing was our luggage was going on the next plane out whether or not we were. We were the last ones to get on!

SIGH.... I am exhausted....but I am tan ;) :D

I'm sorry you got sick.....:(

Congrats on the tan though....:D

Welcome home! :) Vegas is so much fun...even when you can't drink, gamble, or go clubbing...

Glad you had a good time despite your apprehension prior to leaving. It sounds like it was fun. I'd never be brave enough to walk Longmont streets a night, let alone Las Vegas, you go girl!!!

Wow, sounds like an adventure! And it was great of that man to pay for your meal! :)

Definitely NOT a disney type of adventure! ;) But it sounds like a great time! (despite the sick friend. :( )

Sounds like you had fun, Meagan. Sorry your friend got sick. It's time for me to visit Vegas again, I think :)

Wow, certainly an interesting trip to say the least! Sounds like quite the adventure! Welcome home, Preshi. :)

Talk about a whirlwind trip!!!! It sounds likea fun time except for the part where your friend got sick. :(

Too bad we didn't bump into you!! I just got back Sunday morning!! Stayed at Harrah's (plus 2 days at the 4 Queens downtown) and went thru Bally's a few times to ride the monorail to MGM (unfortunately it stops running at 10pm).

Here's to your next trip being just as fun (or better!) and not including any food poisoning!!!
