I reinjured my hip at school last week, so I'm limping, I'm in constant pain, I've got 3 kids, 2 jobs, 9 people to cook for on Christmas day (including MIL and FIL), and my MIL told me she'd help out for Christmas dinner by bringing ............a 1/2 gallon of ice cream :rolleyes:

What a thoughtful MIL! Half gallon won't go far as a main course for 9 people.

wow :rolleyes: that's great. Ice cream goes so well with Christmas dinner doesn't it? yikes!

I hope your feeling better soon!! {{{hugs}}}

What, sorry to hear you're hip is bothering you.

IYour MIL is no help.

If it were me, I'd send DH to to the nearest deli and have him get salads, rolls, dessert, and a ham I just had to hear up.

Good luck,

Herc.

Oh good grief! I can't believe how helpful she is. :rolleyes: I hope you feel much better really soon. {{{HUGS}}}

Whe she arrives hand her an apple pie and tell her that is rest of her dinner to be eaten with the ice cream.
Honestly though sorry to hear your mil is not to bright or not to nice, Im not sure which one it is.

She could be like my step mother and bring nothing, and then complain that we never have foods she likes! Of course, none of us has ever been able to find out what foods she DOES like!:rolleyes:

At least she offered. We have to tell my MIL what to bring. Then she told us she will be with us Christmas Eve, and doesn't want to come to Christmas dinner, she wants to go to the casino boat. DW told her "god forbid mom you would want to spend 2 days in a row with your kids."

I hope she looses are her money:D

I've give her a list of things to bring, the day before Christmas. In fact, I'd recruit everyone to help, or the deli would be the next choice. :)

LOL, I think only telling her once would be enough. ;)
