I do agree with the other posters who suggested a deli meal - maybe one of those turkey or ham dinners from the grocery

Grocery stores do have dinners that you can buy but I would first call people this weekend and tell them that since you hurt your hip again your calling to find out what kind of pizza they like so you know what to order. If they get the hint they will help out. \

Sounds familiar. Mine would always ask if she could help and then instead of doing what I asked she would go find DH and start helping him by raking leaves, skimming the pool etc. When I had my third baby in four years she came over and went with him to the grocery store "because he needed help" buying two bags of groceries. Meanwhile I was home breastfeeding a newborn and trying to wash a 2 and 4 year old in the tub at the same time.
