I know! I can't either. The time has flown by. Having my running to focus on has helped with Chuck being gone too.

Hey well done with the weight loss!
17lbs is amazing:thumbsup2

We're quite the craicy bunch, aren't we? :rolleyes1

Doesn't work, does it?

17 lbs---that's fantastic, Carissa! :thumbsup2

Sounds like it may be time to do a little shopping................:)

Good morning, Carissa!! I noticed someone mentioned it may be time for some shopping... are you feeling thinner too?? I'm a total reward person- and I can just say if I lost 17 pounds, I'd definitely be getting a new pair of jeans just for me!! :thumbsup2

It must be so tough to have your husband gone for so long. My mum was reminescing with my kids on sunday about WW2 and how the american troops would call to their house to phone their loved ones at home. Apparently my grandparents were one of the few families to have a telephone in those days (they lived in the countryside, troops were stationed nearby). Anyway the guys would bring my mum and her siblings treats as a thank-you for using the phone. Bet you can't guess what treat they got only once and most wished for again (rationing was in place big time)?
We all got it wrong!
Apparently it caused great laughter between all who were there at the time and they still talk about it (my mum and her sisters and brother).
They aged between 4yrs -11yrs at the time!!

A BANANA!
They shared between 5 of them!
It caused so much laughter because my granny being a very wily woman had been cooking home-grown parsnips and flavouring them with banana essence (which she could get with rationing) to give her kids whole to eat as a snack-when they got the real thing my aunt had no idea that you were meant to peel it and she tried to bite through skin and all!:rotfl:

I've probably bored you all silly but it made me smile and I thought you might like to hear it (hope you did):)

I'm way ahead of ya! I had to buy some new capris for the summer since my old ones were sliding off my hips.

:cool1: 28 minute runs :cool1:

:cool1: 17 pounds lost :cool1:

:cool1: AMAZING, Carissa!!!
:cool1:

Thanks Karen! I don't think I've mentioned, but Chuck has lost 15 pounds! :cool1:

You are my hero!

Amanda

Awwwww - Thanks Amanda! I'm very sore today from lunges yesterday and am hoping it doesn't affect my running.

Congrats on the 17 pounds! :woohoo:

Thanks Lessa! :)

Great job! :banana::banana::banana:

Thanks!

Yes! Definitely feeling thinner. Like I mentioned above, I've already bought some new things here and there. Had to buy some new capris for the summer since my old ones were too big. The shock came when I bought a bunch of new shirts online and had to return most of them because they were too big.

:rotfl2:not quite:rotfl2:

Oh well. :rotfl:

you continue to amaze us!!!!:worship::worship:

Thanks Jordan!

That's an awesome story! How wonderful of your grandparents to let the American soldiers use their phone. :goodvibes Love the story of the banana. That's what kids should get excited about - fruit! :thumbsup2
