Tiramisu is one of those desserts that sounds yummy to me, but I don't love the taste. :confused3

Where has the day gone????? I can't believe it's 6:30 already. Workout, lunch, school, library, dinner. Can't say I mind our days flying by at this point. :goodvibes

I know!! Tonga toast is like that for me. Sorta. It sounds good with all that cinnamon sugary goodness that it's swathed in, but I fear it will be too much mush for me. But I saw yesterday, that MeMom takes most of her mush out and loves it that way, so I may try it that way, so I can get the banana flavor, just not the texture.

yeah, I love days like that- especially during these very coldest days of winter!! 2 weeks ago I was whining about it being 32F. Now that it's -20 below F, I'm begging for 32 again! :lmao: Homeschooling really helps! Plus my 14 year old got really sick today, and that made my day go by faster too.

All in good time, dearie!! :rotfl2: Seriously, my DH and I need to do some serious long and short term planning over the next couple of weeks, then there will be a big, fat post about some more "final" decisions (which we all know in the DISWorld last about 1 week until the next plan supercedes :lmao:). You especially should watch for that. ;)

Pizza Soup sounds yummy and pretty healthy? Would you mind sharing the recipe?

Healthy depends on what you like on/in your pizza lol!

Here you go, I tend to mess with the ingredients based on what I have around and what sounds good at the time! Canned mushrooms work just fine.

Pizza Soup

  • 4 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1/2 an onion
  • Diced Bell peppers if desired, not in original recipe but a great addition (I typically have red in the soup but all are good!)
Saute above in olive oil


Put in crockpot with the following
  • 1 15 oz can pizza sauce
  • 4 cups water (or 2 can's full using the pizza sauce can)
  • 2 cups sliced pepperoni (an 8oz package is about right)
  • 1 cup bulk italian sausage, browned (although the recipe only calls for a cup, I generally use a whole pound)
  • 1 1/2 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 1 1/2 tsp Basil
  • 1 1/2 tsp Oregano
  • 1-2 small cans sliced olives. Not in the original recipe but we like olives on our pizza so it seemed appropriate to add.
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese. (the recipe has this in the crockpot, however we like it better fresh, shredded and served on top
Heat thoroughly, serve with fresh parmesan.

Is lovely with some garlic bread and a nice spinach salad on the side!

More often than not, I don't do this in the crockpot as it can heat up much faster in a nice soup pot and is a quick dinner as well as a kid favorite! Adding the extra veggies and sausage makes it more of a chunky soup which we like (and the kids dribble less!).

:woohoo: Sounds like you had a great workout today! I'm always super sweaty at the end of my runs. When I get back from my long summer runs I look like I just took a shower. It's part of being a runner and before you know it you'll actually like the feeling. Anyway great job pushing yourself. That is the way we get better! (And this coming from Ms. noncompetitive:rolleyes1) The virtual 5K sounds great. Just don't compare yourself to others that do it faster. Compare it to where you were a month ago:goodvibes

When we started the year, I wanted to begin school each day by 8. :rolleyes1 And then I decided on 9. :rolleyes1 Now we're lucky to get started by 10. :rotfl:

I just found your thread and want you to know that you've got me thinking about the half marathon. I've always wanted to do some sort of race, but thought I'd ease into it with a 5k (that's why I'm doing the virtual 5/10k on Valentines day). After reading your thoughts, I'm inspired. :worship: I need to be less of a chicken. What's the worst that can happen? Getting swept? In the grand scheme of things that's not so horrible, I guess. :confused3

I've got a picture of the full marathon Mickey medal on my treadmill :lmao: (not that I'll be going for that any time soon, but its the only one I could find).

Actually, I'm not doing the C25K program, but my times are similar to yours... about 1.9 miles in 30 minutes. I'll be right beside you (virtually) on Valentines day. :rotfl:

I keep thinking about having to post that it took 45+ minutes to do the 5K. Why do I care so much? I'm just a beginnger! :sad2:

I did get a good sleep and I decided to take today off. I'll be doing the virtual 5K on Sunday, my normal rest day, so I figure I'm due a day off. ;)

I'm thinking since I'm only sore on one side it's the hula hooping because I moved in the same direction the entire time. I think I'll take it easy with that one next time. :rolleyes1
