My "LIVE FROM I-95" Trip Report... Update 9/27.. Sad news.

My sympathies. No that is the western route of the DC Beltway. The 270 spur is always a PITA, especially around rush hour. Try to hit it between 11am - 2pm and you'll be ok. Or else after 9pm. Get there during 3-6pm or 7-10am and you'll be crawling as the spur mixes with beltway traffic.

You could always try the far western route and avoid I-95 through the beltway altogether. I-66 or something like that. Head west towards Frederick and pick up the interstate that runs through Harrisonburg, VA.

Otherwise, take 70 to 95 (further east) and then you'll be on the Eastern side of the beltway where the Wilson Bridge is.

In other words, avoid 270 if you can help it. I've never known it not to be a mess.

Fine, done, I'm taking your advice, so now that worry is over!! We will be leaving on a Sat. morning, however, we will be coming home on Tuesday, Nov. 11th. So I'm hoping the fed gov't has off that day.....thanks again!

Update from I-95 in Georgia.

We just came back from WDW and while passing through Glynn County, GA, we saw gas at the Pilot for $3.29 at the Jekyll Island exit.

The Wal-Mart in Kingsland had it for $3.38 with a Wal-mart Card.

Gas at the Hess near the Boardwalk at WDW was $3.69 when we arrived, but, by the time we left it was $3.47.

Hope this helps the I-95 travelers.

Fine, done, I'm taking your advice, so now that worry is over!! We will be leaving on a Sat. morning, however, we will be coming home on Tuesday, Nov. 11th. Ha! No, I wish!!!! We're leaving Sat., Nov. 8th, returning Nov. 11th. Short trip, it will tell us alot about if we can take the drive, the Hilton Head area, and a visit to the Disney HHI resort. We aren't staying there this trip, but hopefully we will get to see enough of the island to know if we want to come back!
