My Little Princess is Turning 8 trip report. Completed

Great update Nichole! Love Kaylee's dress:thumbsup2 That pic. of Thomas with Donald is so cute, it looks like he wants to jump up inside of him!:rotfl: Thanks for all the great shots of Chef Mickey's, we are going there on our trip but for breakfast! Being tired at Disney is like no other, except for maybe the first few weeks after child birth!:rolleyes1 I love your new ticker! Wouldn't it be funny if we bumped into you while you were up here:goodvibes

Hi There,
Are you finished packing yet? I love that picture of Thomas and the one with Kaylee and Minnie too. I think breakfast at chef Mickey's is a bit better than dinner as far as food goes. i ahve 2 tickers but now I can't see the Disney one  .

We are flying inot PHL on June 1st and staying with inlaws in Long beach island for a night or two and then going to Staten Island to see DH cousins for a night. Then spending the rest of the time in Pt. Pleasant and visiting friends and other stuff we miss aroung there. Definately going to the beach & Boardwalk in Pt. Pleasant while we are there. Do you ever take your kids there? You proabaly go to Seaside since its closer to where you live. Can't wait to be around blunt Jersey people again. Though maybe I'll be glad to go home to TN after dealing with Tom's dramatic family :rolleyes1 .

Sounds like another great day!! I love the balloons and card from Cinderella! We are going for our Anniversary in 2 weeks and I hope we get something too!

I really like the bed rail option!! I may have to change the pack n play option and get bed rails for DS. He hasn't been in a PNP for ages, but i was afraid he would fall on the floor off the bed!;)

Jennifer

Just have to let you know that when my DS leaned on the bedrail it does pull away from the bed and he could fall between the rail and bed onto the floor. I'm a light sleeeper so it was no problem for me and he never fell. Just be careful. My DS is almost 4 so no pack N play for him. I don't think we have used ours since he was 1 year old. They wake up so easy in them for some reason.

Love the update Nichole! The balloons and card in the room was a nice touch! I don't blame you about the bedspread. :scared:

Love Kaylee's dress and the picture with Minnie is adorable. We've only been to Chef Mickey's for breakfast also but would love to try for dinner sometime.

Small World is a must do for us to - not so much that we love it but it is a classic and just screams "Dinsey" to us. I've taken pictures in there too - not sure if you are supposed to. :confused3

Thanks :goodvibes , my kids love Chef mickey's. Well be starting our next trip there too since Thomas can't get enough of Mickey. Yes I'm grossed by the bedspreads, sometimes I leave them on during the day but take them off at night for sure.
I changed my October resort to POFQ  . I'm excited to try a moderate/ new resort. Thomas wants to go back to Pop but I showed him the dragon slide and he can't wait to go now.

I love that the resort had the balloons sent to the room. What a nice Disney touch!

I hate Spectro night at MK, I usually avoid it. Though next time I will attempt it so Kelly can see it.

I cna't believe the line for BTMR:scared1:

OK, so please tell me the magical moment is not the same as the 2 meltdowns:lmao:

Great update Nichole! Kaylee looks so cute in her Minnie dress! Your evening sounds wonderful! Characters, Peter Pan, Buzz, Small World, Pooh - a perfect little night after a very magical day! I wonder if Thunder Mtn broke down earlier in the day? :confused3

Looking forward to hearing about the next day! :goodvibes Meltdowns? Never!

Sara

I just got done reading this one and the last one. Thanks for taking the time.:lovestruc It really helps the rest of us plan our trips.

Funny this is, we will be there the same week this year in October as you were last year.:) We are also considering a Spring Break trip for 2010. :confused3

One thing I specifically look for in trippies are the crowds, to get a feel for what we will be facing. We have been twice in the past, both times in November. I get the feeling that October is a good bit more crowded than Nov. Can you comment on that? You mentioned in October it seemed more crowded than at other times.

And, how was it comparing this Spring Break trip to the October trip. I suspect much more crowded. Was it?

Thanks again for writing! By the way, what do you do to document your trip during your trip? Do you find this takes away from the experience. Just wondering, because I was considering doing that on my next trip.

Great trip report,excellent photo's and 2 cute kiddies.Can't wait to read more.x.

Thanks for the update! I am a fellow germaphobe! I take off the bedspreads and also douse the room in Lysol within 5 minutes of checking in!

My DD celebrated her 8th b-day at CMs this last November. It is such a great place to have a birthday!

If I didn't like Spectro, then I would pick another night for MK. Your niece will probably like it though. The magical moment :lmao: was after the meltdowns.

Thanks Sara, Kaylee had a magical Birthday!! I think BTMRR must have broke down.

Thank you for reading :goodvibes my trip reports! it would be no fun without readers. As far documenting, sometimes I take a few notes and sometimes I just use my memory and the pics help too. I like writing the trip report because it makes the trip last longer that way ;) . I also love reading other families trippies because you learn alot.

I think November was our best trip as far as crowds and weather. October was much busier than November or September. It was also quite rainy the first few days. I think because so many school have fall break or at least Columbus Day off so and excuse to go to Disney for a week. Also with F&W and halloween parties there is alot going on. We were only at Disney 3 nights over Spring break but I only found it slightly busier than October. There were no waits at the waterpark at all. I like November best but DD has fall break in ealy October this year so we will be going then. If we had to change or cancel then I will book November so and she will jsut miss a bit of school.

Me too,I spray everything with Lysol. Chef Mickey's is great for Bdays. Both kids requested to go back there in October for breakfast or dinner.

Great updates. the character pictures are adorable. I was lucky enough to score a Dream Fast Pass on my solo trip last weekend at the MK. It helped a lot to get through all of the rides with no lines. I cannot wait to hear about the water park. I have not been to a Disney water park since 04.

We avoid Seaside like the PLAGUE! Yuck way to many sketchy people and teeny boppers!:rotfl: We LOVE Pt. Pleasant:thumbsup2 As a matter of fact we are going there on Sat. because it is my MIL birthday and she wants Jenkinson's pizza!:goodvibes I am loving your TR! Don't post too much while I'm away OR finish before I leave OK;) Just kidding!:goodvibes

Jenkinsons pizza is so good! You know I'm dying down here in the land of gross pizza :lmao:. I probably shouldn't admit this but I met my DH at Jenkinsons while watching our favorite cover band :rolleyes1 . I agree Seaside definately has sketchy people. I have 3 more updates on my trip report. By then yours will be started.

Welcome back and awesome about the Dream Fastpass!! So what did you think of Pop?

Pop was great... I got faced with a severe storm on the 5th - so when I left MK to go hang out at the pool - I was faced with a lightning storm... so I hung out at the arcade and played Pirates of the Caribbean pinball for two hours. lol

Hi Nichole! I'm sure you will like POFQ, we stayed the past two years at POR but walked over to french quarter twice and let the kids swim in that pool, and we went to get beignets at the french quarter food court. Its very cool! And I think we are going to try to make ressies for an extra night at POP thanks to your recomendations.

Lastly, thanks for the tip about the bed rails! I've been four times to WDW and each time had a toddler and I never knew you could request bed rails! I never really got a good nights sleep, always semi-aware of where the little ones were in bed with me and worried they might roll out. Especially at POR b/c those beds are so high up. Last year my dd rolled right out of the bed and onto my ds who was sleeping on the trundle!:scared1: But because they were so "disney-tired" neither one of them woke up!:)

Have a great afternoon! Can't wait to hear more about your trip!

Oh gosh! Those poor things must have been exhausted. I know it wasn't funny to you at the time, but that is an adorable story. One of the many testimonies to a great time had by all. :goodvibes

Too funny, my DD loves the arcade there. Both of my kids think POFQ looks boring and they want to go back to Poly or Pop :rolleyes1 .

I would request bedrails when you check in. You'll sleep better. Those must have been some tired kids not to wake up. I hope we like POFQ, I'm sure its much more relaxing then Pop. My kids loved Pop though!

great update :) Did Kaylee's hair stay put after BBB and swiming?? I know my girls are going to want to go swiming in the afternoon after we have it done in the am... :(
Thanks
Annette

Annette

We did let her swim but since we were going to her Bday dinner we told her not to go underwater or get her hair wet :headache: . We only took a quick swim though and I promised to go to a waterpark the next day so she could swim to hearts content. I spent $50 on that hair I wanted it to last 1 day at least ;) . Last trip she wore her hair in the princess style for 2 days. I just wrapped it in a scarf thingy at night. Hope that helps.
