OK, I know it's been a hot summer and all. I know that people like to keep their grass green, if they can.

But what's with the automatic sprinklers being put across the sidewalk from the lawn?? What a pain, to have to go wayyy out in the street to avoid these sprinklers in the morning when I'm walking the dog. Not only do they spray the lawn, but some are set to pivot, and spray the street.

I always thought that technically, that's the town's property, even though the homeowner is supposed to maintain the sidewalk and grass on the other side. I guess I was wrong?

I've seen it more and more lately, and it just BUGS me.

I'm with you. I walk to the train station every morning, and it drives me nuts to have to walk in the street to avoid the water...if it happened going home, I wouldn't mind!

Well, exactly - I'm usually already dressed for work when I'm walking the dog. Dodging the sprinkler, when you'd rather run through it when it's hot outside, is a pain!
