We used to go in August all the time when my son was in school, it was just the only time we could go. We, too, are from Georgia, and frankly the heat and humidity doesn't bother us. It might be because both my son and I have the philosophy that hot is hot. I've lived in the desert of Saudi Arabia with zero humidity and lived on the Florida coast with 100% humidity and lived in Albuquerque NM, which is sort of in the desert but also in the valley of a mountain so gets snow in the winter so it's a mixture but hot, and frankly I couldn't tell the difference, hot was hot and I don't seem to sweat any more or less. My hair, now that's a different beast, all the curls and frizz come out in the humidity. I'm like flortlebab, I either let the girls fly solo or wear a light weight regular bra, no sports bras for me so at least I don't have to fight the beast getting it off. Sundresses are my friend at WDW, no bra required and they let the air flow. We do go slower in the summer, we don't spend as much time at the parks and more time at the pool (bar) and I'm an expert at finding shade but I'm allergic to the sun (could come from all that time in deserts) so I have to do that in the winter too. We will be there for a long weekend in the beginning of August this year, my baby powder is always packed with me so no worries.
