Going through future DVC reservation papework??

I was reading about the dedicated 2 BR at OKW and got to wondering exactly what I booked. I went to my favorite drawer and pulled out a bunch of DVC reservations! We will stay at multiple resorts for a few vacations, so lots of them.:yay: :yay:

I guess I'm the only dork!:confused3 :goodvibes

ok, you may not be the only dork. you know the folders you get when you check in, i save them with my resi. conf papers and any paper work from that trip and keep them in one of those dvc canvas bags! oh maybe about 2-3 times a year, i get home sick and pull them out to read them. maybe we should start our own club? the closet dvc dorks!:rotfl:

Oh Well, if you are talking all Disney vacation stuff...I have a full drawer with old keys (the ones with the holes and Mickey's fingers!) to rooms, cruises etc..... and stickers and pins. Oh what fun!

You are sooo cool.... loving Disney is very special... I think WebmasterDoc would agree....

Here's one for the dork records........I plan pretend vacations!! :sad2:

I'll spend time going through my DVC book and will plan the longest possible stay (studio, lowest season) with my point allotment.

Then I'll work on a Grand Villa stay during the holidays

Then a split stay between VB and BC

and the list goes on!!! My imagination goes wild w/ my 310 points!!

I think I need to get a job as a Disney Vacation planner!

No... I am really dorky... not just DVC, but many things. Barb, glad to have you in my club.

:beach:

OK. now my curiosity is piqued. What else are you dorky about??:dance3:

That sounds like fun! I need more points for pretend! I can pretend to buy an additional 500. Will that be enough to really 'play'?

I once planned an entire trip to Nova Scotia's Bay of Fundy and when I was done, I never went on the trip but can talk like I did! How sick is that?

I figure out pretend vacations, too!
I like to come up with different scenarios for my points.

I also have made a binder (decorated with cutouts of Tink from the folders we receive with DVC purchases). I divide it by vacations, complete with all the planning and confirmation info. Highlight certain areas of the confirmation, too!

What a great idea!
Anytime you need a fix, just go to the drawer.:thumbsup2

Oh Thank Goodness!! I'm so glad someone else does this too! ;)

While I dont keep all my confirmations from MS (I keep track of all our trips in meh siggy) I do strangely keep room keys.

Oh no, I always throw out the expired/changed ones. That's what I was doing yesterday! I went to check what we had at OKW and had a pile of them, all current of course:thumbsup2 . But some had changed when I booked at 7 mos out for our 'not home' resort.

Hmmmm, Deb, or should I say Dork Deb, I think I may need to start doing the binder thing. One place that I would love to plan visit for is the Pacific NW.
Now that my husband works for Microsoft, maybe we could do a tour!
But I know that he will not fly there (I will be lucky to get him in a plane to go somewhere he actually wants to visit!) so it might just be a 'mental vacation', the Dork type!:dance3:

As much as I enjoy other trips (Our big one coming up is to Yellowstone. I love to go to National Parks!), when I have time to daydream plan, it's the WDW ones that keep me busy. I have lined pads devoted to different scenerios. I recently bought a marble pad to keep in our Cape May house for this purpose. I brought the TTS's mailing that lists the point costs to keep there because I usually don't have internet service in Cape May.

When I'm not planning trips, I listen to WDW music. The CP's music is the only Christmas music DH is allowed:rotfl: to play this early in the year!

Am I the only one that continuously takes the 360 tours and resort overview tour (you know the one where you scroll over the lobby and the pools) of all of the DVC resorts?

I also like to play with the points charts and figure out new ways to use my limited # of points, and look at the resale boards.

What a great idea with the binder! I've just been keeping everything in a big stack. I don't want to throw the confirmations away (even when I've changed my trip and the confirmation isn't from a valid trip!). I love seeing them. I think I'll start a disney trip binder too. I think I'll need a really really big binder!:)

Try to talk him into it! I could help you plan!
Even though we get tired of the rain, it is beautiful here.

Wow. Those are some great looking birds and some great pictures. Did you take them all? They are wonderful. I do love the birds but I have 2 cats and don't want any 'natural accidents'. Love them! Thank you for posting them Rob.
