Glad to hear he is okay. He should not be doing the roof. He is electrician, if I recall? That is enough.

Yes- he's an electrician. Good memory Dan! He's up and sweeping the floor and crabbing like crazy... almost like normal!

Kids are great- enjoying vacation! Looks like we are in for a whopper of a snowstorm for the New Year....

PP's are right I can totally picture the whole National Lampoon thing or AFV.

But at the same time Soooo scary.

You did the right thing calling your FIL and having him taken to the ED, look at how many times people think they're all right only to have something like internal bleeding show up well after the fact.

So glad he's okay. Hope you feel better soon.

I am so glad that your DH is okay.

A couple weeks before Christmas my mom was hosting a dinner and tripped over the table leg prior to the dinner. She is 78 and ended up with a pinched nerve in her shoulder, a bruised tailbone and a fracture in one of her vertebre (sp). I was talking to her on the phone a couple days after her fall and suddenly could hear her crying in pain. My mom lives in CA and I live in FL. I kept saying "Mom, Mom are you okay?" She finally came back and said she had to go. My dad was not home at the time. Finally I got a call from him saying that my mom was okay. She had lifted her arm too high and it triggered the severe pain that she was in.

It felt horrible not being able to do anything to help her.

Oh my, well your DH is one lucky guy. Someone was watching out for him. To have fallen from your roof and not be in the hospital with many broken bones....lucky for sure.

...not to mention INTERNAL INJURIES!
