My hummer!

I got a picture of my hummingbird last night. There was a 2nd one buzzing around today but the 1st one kept chasing it off. How do people get more than one hummingbird to feed at a time? This one seems very territorial.

they are very territorial...we used to call it hummingbird wars at our feeder at the old house because we had 5 hummers that all wanted to feed at the same time 2 males. It was great to watch.

Snowwark I lurk in here alot. Im not a very good (meaning very bad) gardner, but I love reading about and seeing what everyone is doing in their gardens! I kill everything, and then Mary has to come over and fix it for me!

Keep it up BUDS. We are slowly but surely turning NOODLES into a gardener. She's starting to catch the bug. She actually weeded her back garden yesterday!

We all kill things from time to time, but as long as you enjoy flowers/veggies/your yard, that's all that matters.

Wow, what a great shot! Mine are always a blur.

War of the hummers, I love it. Didn't know they were territorial, very interesting.

I wish we had more than the occasional hummer. They are so much fun to watch.

What do you do to attract so many?

Wow, that's a great picture. I put another feeder far from the house and still there were wars. Sometimes they would go at each other up up up way past the height of my house!

Welcome Noodles. It nice you have Mary nearby to help you out but you'll soon realize how much fun is it to get your hands dirty. And killing plants -- I won't go there about how many I have sacrificed to the plant gods. It is a rite of passage you know (that never seems to end...)
