my guide question...

since we purchased a re-sale do i get the same guide???

from what i understand the guide is just a very nice real estate agent who is available to you to answer questions and try sell you what you want. once you have a guide you keep the same one until they get transferred, promoted, or leave disney. if you purchase resale thru a different company you still have the same guide, that person just did not have anything to do with the actual purchase process.

i am sure that your guide would rather you purchase from them (directly from disney) because they would get credit for the sale, but they are just as nice and helpful either way.

what ever you do, just purchase and love it like all the rest of us.

We talked to DVC and were assigned a guide, We purchased resale, and still have the same guide, She calls us once a year or so, emails us specials and so on, We are going ot add on through DVC at our Home (VWL). Our guide has been great. Good luck!!

Well lets see. Your Guide makes a living selling DVC points. They spend their day meeting and talking with possible buyers. Your Guide spent time talking to you with the hopes of you buying. You bought somewhere else. The time your Guide spent with you could have been used selling to someone else. I'm sure your Guide loves you for it.

We went on 2 tours and talked a couple of times on the phone with our Guide before buying resale and requesting a different Guide.

Your guide is your own personal timeshare saleman. Lucky you.

It doesn't matter how your personal timeshare salesman feels about you. If you never buy an upgrade from them, there's no need to have contact with them. And if you do buy an upgrade from them, they will be very, very happy.

I think of it this way, I have two guides. One from DVC and one from the Timeshare Store. Both have been helpful when I called to announce that I have too much money and need to give some of it to them!
