My friend posted on FB that the portion sizes at Disney....

we've all been trained by the food-n-beverage industry to expect the massive sizes as standard..... anyone remember what a "large" drink or "large" fries from a fast food place looked like 30 years ago? Now that "large" size probably wouldn't even equal a small size today.....

if you get used to getting a family platter of food for a 'single' serving, and a gallon jug for your drink; a normal size is going to look skimpy.

TOTALLY agree that the counter service food portions are ridiculously out of proportion for what the average person NEEDS to eat in one serving. Even if they HAVE scaled back, I'm guessing that they are still huge portions.

My daughter and I regularly split counter service meals. The chicken wrap at the Tangierine Cafe in Morocco at Epcot is one of our faves to split. PLENTY for both of us.

People really do just eat too much. :confused3 Unless you are an athlete burning off hundreds of calories a day, or someone blessed with a metabolism that does the same...there is just no way that ANY counter service meal at WDW isn't MORE than enough in calories for any meal.

WOW, OP I am thinking their BMI is WAY too BIG to think Disney portions are too small.
