My first trip to WDW and DH's first time being arrested (Dec 2009)

I'm only on page 57 and jumped to the last page to see where you were with the report. I was there at the same time you're saying you were. You're dead on with the weather and we were at Osbourne at the same time.

I'm truly enjoying this, thank you.

As a huge keylime pie fanatic, even my DD knows not to attempt to ask for a bite, even less just try to steal a bite!!! :rotfl:

I must try the one at Flame Tree next month on my trip! Actually never ate there. Maybe I can get a slice to go and mail it to you!!! :lmao:

The best keylime pie ever can be found in the Florida Keys. It is a slice of frozen keylime pie dipped in chocolate on a stick! Yum!!

*You and Rig are very nice looking! You will have lovely (dimpled) babies, I'm sure.
dimples and curly hair.:cutie:

Thanks for posting the pictures Lee - you are an absolutely adorable couple...

Love the last 2 installments - Nemo is one of my favorite shows!!!
Nemo is such an awesome show, I get chills thinking about it.

First of, you two are absolutely adorable!! One day you will have beautiful children. The fact that you went on Rockin Rollercoaster is great and you should not feel bad for not going on Everest. I will not do RNR or ToT, scared out of my mind!! I love the Nemo show also, so beautiful. Can't wait to read more!!

Melissa
Rockin roller coaster kicked my butt, Tower of Tower got easier to do, I would probably do it again, and maybe Rockin roller coaster. I did feel bad for not going on Everest that day, but it didn't ruin my day or trip.

Actually Rig looks remarkably like what I was picturing. Maybe a little taller and I didn't picture the tattoo...I'm sure you probably described it but I forgot about it.

Yea Rig doesn't seem like the tattoo type, but he has a few.

nice pics great story!
thank you,:flower3:

What a great way to start my Monday, after being sick all weekend, 2 TR updates!!! PERFECT!!!

I love Expedition Everest! I rode in the front seat with my mom! MY MOM is in her 60s! She was screaming like a little girl the whole time and absolutely loved it. Now she tells people that she can handle anything since she rode the front seat on EE! LOL

Also loved the Finding Nemo show. I wasn't sure how I would feel about the stage show but it is incredible! Disney did an amazing job! I don't know anyone who didn't think it was well done.

As for Dinosaur...that ride gives me anxiety! I have a deep-seeded fear of dinosaurs and that HUGE NASTY dinosaur toward the end is evil. To this day, I have NEVER been on the ride with my eyes open. I tried and failed. I can't keep my eyes open at all. It terrifies me. I think I am done riding that one for forever.

Also, love love love the pics of you and Rig! So cute!
I bet your mom could handle anything ater riding everest.:)
I loved Dinosaur, it's my favorite ride at Animal Kingdom.

Then, I was here because I was in love with your amazing writing talent!! I give you two thumbs up and a zillion props!!:thumbsup2a zillion props?:cool1: I am definitely in the lead now.

I'm getting ready to go down for my 5th trip in December. I came to read trip reports so I could get some ideas of how to make Disney more romantic. I'm thinking we might need to ride the Ellen ride and maybe be someone's drinking game too :lmao:Oh yeah, that's a nice long dark ride. TOu and your cowboy have a great time!

Anyway, I wish you both many, many happy years together and many more magical Disney memories!!!

Karen
thanks I wish ya'll many happy years too.

Lee, thanks for the pics, you two are so cute together!

I know I haven't posted in ages, but I have read everything, such a great report.

As for Dinosaur, NOOOOOOOOOOOO! I rode that a few years back with a group of Disers, and sat through the whole thing with my eyes shut tight as can be and holding on for dear life, the ride pic was just horrilbe to look at LOL. Never done Everest either, but I am seriously considering it, I read its on the level with BTM, so I think I'll give it a shot if I ever get out there again.

Keep on writing, such a great story, thanks!
You don't like dinosaur?:confused3 it's such a great ride, funny though how one thing puts the fear in me and others think it's a walk in the park and vice versa.

I know what you mean about wanting to be fearless.
I too, have never ridden Everest, and have ahd mulitple oportunities.
don't feel bad..there's nothing wrong with not wanting to ride something.
(however, you both should walk through the queue..not fass pass line.. once, it's really need)

glad to see your pictures! what a cute couple!

it took us numerous trips before we spotted Devine! she is usually between Asia and Africa, and usually in the afternoon. (this is one reason we kept missing her. we go for rope drop, do a few things, get fast passes for later, then go back to the resort for a while. and come back for evening EMH, so Nebo can see the dark rides, like dinosaur)

glas you enjoyed Nemo! we just love it!! instead of tryng to ignore the puppeteers, I like to watch their faces. it's fun to see the emotions on their faces match the emotions of the puppets! our favortie is Crush "Roll with the f l o w!"
I still wish to be fearless, I did do alot though and ya'll might be a little surprised by the end of this report.

Crush is so cool, he's right up there with Dori. Nemo was such a great show.

I have to say DH was pretty close in identifying the two of you via hollywood stars in the movie 8 Seconds. Both of you are adorable and make an amazing couple. I do have to say that I love Rig's tattoo...That cross is awesome! .
oh yea, your DH did a good job.

As for trying to fearless, you know your own limitations. I know that every time we come across a roller coaster my heart seems to drop, but I tend to make a promise to myself that I have to go on them at least once. I know if I don't i won't let myself live it down. DH is really good at saying, "you can wait while I go on it." He's always willing to go by himself if need be, and every time I still take the chance and go once. More often than not i won't go more than that because i'm not that brave. But the experience you have at Disney is not negated because you don't go on a ride. Trust me. The only difference, you'll see it through clearer eyes because they won't be rocking in your head from all the thrashing on the roller coaster. :rotfl:

Can't wait to hear more!

I do know my limitations, I would like to be able to stretch the boundaries of those limitations though. For the most part though common sense for alot of things always wins out. Common sense in areas like I won't drive the 4 wheeler at neck breaking speeds and jump ramps just because the ramp was there.

I don't do the coasters. Never liked them, never will. To me it's not a matter of fearlessness, it's survival :goodvibes I'm pretty sure I would have a heart attack on Expedition Everest :scared1: Or throw my back out at the very least!
True that!

my sentiments exactly! so see there, Lee, you are way more brave than me! I love soarin, but can't do any of the coasters at all. enjoyed your TR and glad to see the photos. It is nice to put faces with the story. hope to read another TR of yours someday:)
Well maybe I will get the chance to wirte one again some day. IF they were to start a fanatasy forum I wcould write there and dang it I would have myself riding every coaster there was, cause it would be the fantasy forum.;)

:guilty:sorry I made you wait so long.

I'll give it to her on that one. She does do them at least once. Don't let her kid you too much though. She's getting braver with each go round. She's even put her hands up in the air on some of the rides she never used to, like Splash Mountain. I have proof.
that's awesome!
If you ever get to go back, maybe next time you'll brave Expedition Everest. Grant was right, Rockin' Roller Coaster is worse IMO. EE is a piece of cake compared to that one. But then again look who's talking. I love the thrill rides just as much as Rig. D'sis and I even rode the coasters back to back at Islands of Adventure. Glad to hear you still had fun. Interested to see if you rode Kali River Rapids. Since it was already raining and all, no fear it getting soaked. :rotfl:ahem! I would love to read about islands of adventure:rolleyes1, no pressure, just sayin.

DW and I will try to post our TR soon.
:surfweb::confused3
Oh yeah, and I gotta say I was pretty close in picturing what you each looked like. You 2 make a cute couple.
you were pretty close, good job, 20 props!

We'll all be sad when it ends. :sad1: So then you'll just need to go again so you can write another one. :lmao:
I can always dream:rolleyes:

Greetings from Brasil!!! (This is my first post, please feel free to correct my (many) spelling and grammar mistakes...) Dear Lee, your TR is absolutely amazing..you have such a way with words... can't wait to read more...I'm going to WDW w/ my family in December and I can't think of a better way to wait for my dream trip than this..to be among pleople who really love Disney as much as I do... You and Rig look so cute together...I'm going to celebrate my 17th anniversary in december and everyday I'm more in love w/ my wonderful husband...
Hi:wave2: Thank you for reading and for posting. Have you ever been to Disney world in December? You are going to love it.
Congratulations on 17 years, that is so amazing.

Looking forward to hearing lots of details about the "eventful day"!
YOu want details? I can give you details.

I just spent two days at work reading through your story! Including staying after half an hour because I just couldn't stop reading.

I love your writing and cannot wait to hear about the end of your trip!
you stayed a half hour longer at work to read this report? Wow, thanks.

Just checking in to see if there is any new post. Hoping to see one soon!!! :woohoo:
I know, I'm a slacker.:guilty:

I've been busy lately, so it was fun to come back to so many updates. You guys are so cute. As for the Yeti, I rode it...once. The whole "don't want to miss out on anything" things, but once was ENOUGH!!! Can't wait to hear about Day 10!
day 10 was a good day! A mile marker in my life.

Hey Lee, ...can we get some pictures from your trip now? Since the cat's already out of the bag on what y'all look like....and Rig not wanting you posting pics of yourselves is what was holding you back in the first place. It would be double GREAT if we could see your DISNEY pics now. Just one or two here or there would be good enough.
If I can get the pics onto my computer somehow I will do that. The pics I posted were taken with my phone and I e-mailed them to me, saved it to the desk top and then uploaded onto photobucket.

enjoying the trip report...very captivating!;)
thank you very much.

Hi, I just got caught back up. We went on our Disney family vacation a couple of weeks ago and I have been a little busy. I really enjoy your style of writing and your enjoyment of life and your husband. Your love of Rig and enjoyment of life comes through in your writing. Please continue to keep those 1st. I can't wait for the rest of your report.:goodvibes
Thank you so much for the compliments, I do plan to continue writing, it's fun and very relaxing.

I literally laughed outloud!!!!! That's hilarious!

"from the bottom you idiot!!!!'

That line lives in infamy to this day. It wasn't my most proud moment, but, I didn't know what else to do. My advice to you, next time, shank him! The dessert is worth the bodily harm! LMAO
I love it!:lmao: I can see and hear it in my mind, and I felt the panic you must have felt.

Rig's a brave man to get between a woman and her dessert! He's lucky you just had a plastic fork :lmao:
Oh you know it!

Agreed!!! :thumbsup2
;)

I'm only on page 57 and jumped to the last page to see where you were with the report. I was there at the same time you're saying you were. You're dead on with the weather and we were at Osbourne at the same time.

I'm truly enjoying this, thank you.
The Osbourne lights, I am forever ruined for anything else. Nothing will ever compare to those lights.

Yum!!
That pie sounds devine! I had never had a key lime pie like the one at Animal Kingdom, it had like a clear gelatin on top that was tangy, and it mixed in with the sweet of the rest of the pie. So good!

Great pictures! You and Rig are too cute together! I'm sorry, Lee, but that is too funny about the Alligator. Good thing Rig wasn't sick for too long.
Thank you.
The alligator thing, I really wanted it to be a baby gator, wouldn't that be a great story?

Lee, where are you??? I'm dying for more over here!!! LOL

Hope all are well!

Sorry I took so long to update, I will try to do better, I got busy with friends and stuff.

Hi Lee! I just found your Trip Report after it was mentioned in someone else's report. I'm enjoying it so far. You two seem like a really sweet couple! I'm only on page 50, but I'm catching up!

Hi Lee!
Glad there was an update! And you are so sweet to reply back to all the comments.
Fun to hear about Rig in his bug glasses!:3dglasses

i was laughing so hard i almost cried. hey tell rig that all is fair in love and key lime pie! it is great stuff. we've been together 18 years and lance knows there are some desserts we share and some we don't

OK, I am finally caught back up and glad to see you are sill going strong. I agree with you on the food sharing. I always have to taste what DH orders no matter where we are. This way I get to try two things each time we go to a restaurant so I can see what I like best. Much more efficient that way. The only problem is when I like what he has better. Then I often have to ask for a few tastes. It does sound like you had a rainy trip, but usually rain slims down the crowds so it can be a blessing.

Hahahaha! All I can do is shake my head and smile at this point.

Lee, be you an 80 year old woman, 35 year old man, or young ranch wife...you're a genius.

If your excitement at finding this community of (supposedly) friendly Disney lovers caused your creativity to boil over resulting in this trip report....you're a genius.

If you realized this would be a fantastically new and creative way to share a great story...you're a genius.

You've snared newbies and veterans to this board with one well thought up trip report title...you're a genius.

You've kept them all enthralled with your divine storytelling...you're a genius.

No matter the form you take, I would give you a huge hug right now if I could. And thank you for your story and the wonderful entertainment it has provided me. I love seeing a Disney Vacation through your eyes and hearing about Rig reminds me of how grateful I need to be of my Knight's chivalry.

No plain ol' romance novel has ever been able to do that for me.

You're a genius. Whether you meant to be or not. <3

I agree!:thumbsup2

I used to me a dis member many years ago.
I even became a DVCer because of all the reports on Dis.
Then things changed in my life and I have not been to Disney since 2004. Too many hurricanes back to back.

I plan on going back this DEC. to bring my grandchild on his first trip.

I came back to Dis to read up on what's going on and to get tips on the new stuff.

I decided to read trip reports and I stumbled on this one.
I love it. I am on page 31 right now.
The debate, whether if it is real or not, is ruining the fun.

I believe it is real because Lee's and Rig resembles my husband and I. I am so glad I married a southern gentleman. They are rare gem!

Today, is my 35th wedding anniversary.
I still feel like I am on my honeymoon.
I never want that feeling to go away.
So, I act like/live my life in that state of mind.
Sure we had our ups and downs..
But like Lee said, there are more UPS!!!

The downs just make life interesting and make you see things in other ways.. It all a learning experience. No one is perfect. To learn is wise.
It is wise, to see others through their eyes to understand their ways... Why they act/react the way they do.

Thanks Lee for this trip report.
My DH works away for home a week at time.
He is working today and I am quite lonesome.
Your trip report is helping to occupy my time a lone but it making my heartache for my DH... especially today. I want him to hug me on our anniversary.
When we hug, I feel like I melt into him and we become one.

May your love grow stronger each day.
May you never forget your vows.
May you have many children to impart them with the love and virtues you two possess.
And may they honor you and Rig forever.
And may your honeymoon never end!

God Bless you and Rig
I hope to meet you and Rig one day!

r1lissa.. I am praying for you and your "RIG". It must be very lonesome having him so far away and in the mist of war. My heart breaks for you.
You and your "RIG" will have many stories to tell... maybe they will be Tall Tales, too.
God Bless you and may you and your "RIG" meet again very soon!

.....................
As for pop or soda..
I always say... Soft drink

OK I'm midway through reading these. Truth or not, I find this entertaining. You have pretty much just crossed over every stereotype that us snotty Northerners have in our minds about people from the deep south...

Two men named "Truck" and "Rig" that are brothers

"Babylee"

"Dad = Sir" ??

"Cowboy"

"Farm Hand"

"Bossman"

"Pop"

Running away from home to get married at 18

I just keep reading and thinking there's no way this could be true. But probably wouldn't have thought twice about it being true or not had the above never been mentioned!

And if this is true, I hope you have other family and friends that you can rely on on both sides aside from your parents/brothers/sisters. You never know where life could lead. I realize that our husbands are our whole life - but at the same time, if ever anything happened - you need a support system. And having a life outside of each other as well as a life together keeps conversation and marriage interesting I think :)

Off to read more. popcorn::

RigLee ~ keep writing girl!!!! This trip report is great!!
As I tell my kids.. you can't please everyone all the time... so as long as you are pleased with your vacation and your trip report then smile, be happy and keep writing..

I agree :thumbsup2
Whenever, I encounter times like that..
I sing the song "Garden Party" by Ricky Nelson
I tried to post the like from lyricsmode.com, but I could not because of my post count.
The website has the lyrics and video of the song

Wow! I started reading this at 3 am when my daughter decided she didn't want to sleep anymore, and I've been reading it off and on all day... This has to be one of the most captivating trip reports I've ever read. You have a very nice style of writing. Thank you for sharing with us!

I must have really put the fear in Rig, I couldn’t get him to try a little taste of the key lime pie. I didn’t sweat it too much, it just meant more for me. But I did feel a tiny bit of guilt, just a tiny bit, I never lost sleep over it though.

Grant said he was surprised by my threat, “You don’t seem like the threatening type.” He said jokingly. But that is what got us on the topic of first impressions. I had told Grant that my first impression of him was that he was a mean guy, he looked intimidating but really was just a sweetheart once you got to know him. Rig agreed with me that Grant is someone you can’t judge by his looks.

Grant said, judging by his looks only, he thought Rig was a pretty little mommas boy.

“Aw Grant, Rig smiled and batted his eyelashes, “You think I’m purdy?”

Jenny said that Rig defied every first impression she had of him, she had also thought he was a pretty mommas boy and figured him to be wimpy although she did like how he would open doors for her and help her up and down steps or out of ride vehicles. “Did your mom teach you to be a gentleman?”

Rig shrugged, “No, I guess I just learned on my own.”

“I bet you were quite a catch in high school, and the parents of the girls you dated probably loved you.” Jenny giggled.

“Nope, I was a total A hole in high school.” Rig said matter of fact.

I nodded, I had heard from him what a jerk he was. “He stood a girl up on the night of their senior prom.” I said

“In my defense, Rig said, when I made the plans for prom I didn’t know that I’d be offered a fishin trip that weekend.”

“You stood a girl up for prom in order to go fishing?” Jennys mouth dropped open and her eyes got huge, “No you didn’t, not you.”

Rig nodded “Told you I was an A hole.”

“Do you know how much prom means to a girl?” Jenny gasped

“I found out as soon as I got back from my fishin trip, her mom was at my door, she tore into me, told me how I ruined her daughters senior prom, and I had to pay for her dress and hair.”

“Did you?” Grant asked laughing

“I paid for the dress, but not her hairdo cause like I said, Rig added, I was an A hole”

“What changed with you to make you less of a…you know.” Jenny said

“I grew up I guess, and once I met Lee I knew she was the one, it felt good, it still does, to love somebody so hard.”

We sat around the table for an hour after our meal was done sharing stories about high school and dating. It was fun, hilarious even at times and a great way to spend more time out of the rain. But eventually we did get up from the table and got back to touring the park.

Grant wanted to do Kali River Rapids.

“I don’t want to get wet.” I told him

“Babylee, have you taken notice to the rain?” Rig asked

“Water rides like that always end up smashing me sideways in the head and I get an ear full of water and then my head feels all balloony.” I said

Grant said he always had good luck on water rides and never gets hit with a wall of water and he would put his good luck to the test by letting me wear his poncho on the ride, he was sure he would stay dry.
Well, I felt weird about wearing his poncho, first off that’s almost like wearing another mans clothes, but most of all, what if he was all sweaty in that poncho and it got on me? Gross, so I declined the poncho but said I would sit next to him and hopefully his good luck would rub off on me. Rig said more than likely my bad luck would rub off on Grant.

We went to Kali Rapids and had no wait, I sat with Grant and Jenny sat next to Rig. there was another couple in the raft with us.

“Leela’s probably gonna start quotin Titanic now,” Rig said

Honestly I had no plans of quoting Titanic, there’s only one line in that movie that stands out in my head, “I’ll never let you go Jack.” that line just wouldn’t fit into this ride anywhere, now Castaway, that is more fitting, but not many lines that can be quoted, Tom Hanks mostly cried for his beloved volley ball Wilson, and that is a line best used when playing water volleyball and the ball flies out of the pool. So I had no lines to quote.

I’m going to be so honest about this ride. Please don’t be mad at me for this, and please if you have never gone on it don’t not go on it in the future because of my opinion, it is just my opinion. I hate this ride. It is tremendously boring. Blah! The Blah river rapids! I kept waiting for something to happen, something to jump out at us, or maybe even a small hint of a story line, but there was nothing, just a raft and water and rapids. The joking between Grant and Rig was the most entertaining part of the ride. The other couple laughed a lot at them.

I will say that the big splash, the one that looks like a geyser and your raft goes over the top of it, did not get me sideways in the head, I didn’t get totally drenched on this ride, aside from what the drizzely rain did to me. But Grants luck held true. I can’t say same the same for Rig and Jenny! Ha! The big geyser like wall of water dumped right on their heads. Even Jennys poncho didn’t do much to help her.
Kali River was something to do, and I am glad I went on it, I doubt I would ever go on that again, and if we were to ever go back in the warm weather time I seriously doubt I would waste the time standing in line for that. But ya never know.

After Kali we headed back for the Safari ride and we didn’t wait as long this time as we did earlier in the morning. What’s so awesome about this ride, is it’s the same ride but the scene is always changing. Kilimanjaro Safari is a lot like a box of chocolates, ya never know whatcha gonna get.

We saw a lot of the same animals, but we also saw a few that we hadn’t seen earlier, it was far away, and it was more of a butt view than anything, but we saw a lion. That’s all I wanted from the safari, to see a lion.

We did less chatting on this ride, and there was a lot less laughing at me too, so I was able to follow the story line better. I knew before that we were there to help stop the poachers, but this time around I followed the drivers conversation with the person on the other end of the walkie. (Does anybody know if the person on the other end of the walkie is a recording?)

After Safari we went and browsed in some shops. Grant found a Safari hat and put it on. “My names Rig.”

He did Rigs accent pretty good, “Mah names Reeg.”

“I don’t sound nothing like that.” Rig said making a sour face.

Grant mocked him, “Ah don’t seyoun nathin lahk thit.”

“Repeat after me,” Grant said “I”

Rig humored Grants request. “Ah”

I never think about the way Rig sounds, it’s Rig and I have been listening to him for 4 years, but to have attention drawn to it that way was funny. I don’t think moving north has lightened his southern accent one bit. I do sometimes wonder, being so close to Canada that he might eventually have a Canadian/Texas accent. That would be too funny.

Grant wasn’t picking on Rig, it was all in good fun, everybody laughed, including Rig.

We shopped around and got a few postcards before leaving Africa and heading back towards Asia. They were discussing going on Expedition Everest again. Rig said he didn’t want to leave me alone for a second time that day, but I told them all I would be fine. Rig still insisted on staying with me, then Jenny and Grant changed their minds and said they could always come back to the park and ride again on another day. So we decided that Finding Nemo would be a good idea again.

Nemo didn’t disappoint the second time around, it was just as breathtaking and magical and fun as before, maybe even more so just because I looked at different things that time around.

When we left the theater it felt more chilly than it did earlier in the day, I’m sure it was because I had just left a warm area. But the weather finally got to me, I ached because I was so cold. The on again off again rain but all day drizzel had soaked through Rigs jacket that I was wearing and it wasn’t keeping me warm anymore. I whispered to Rig that I was ready to leave, I couldn’t take being this cold anymore, if he wanted to stay I was fine with that, but he didn’t. So he told Jenny and Grant that we hated to bale on them so early but we were ready to just relax in a dry warm room.

Grant and Jenny said they weren’t done touring the park but wanted to know if we felt like getting together later.
Rig was up for another round of cards, but Grant was thinking more of venturing off property and going out to eat somewhere.

“I like Disney world, but I need to step outside of it for a bit.”

“Last time I stepped outside of it things didn’t end well for me.” Rig chuckled

“But we’ll be with Jenny and Grant,” I told him, “It’ll be fun."

Rig nodded, "Alright."

I really wanted to go, but I wasn't sure how Rig really felt about it, I didn't want him agreeing to it just because I wanted it, I needed him to want it too. So I told Jenny we would see how things went and let them know in a while if we were going to go.

Jenny said she was call us when they were done at Animal Kingdom and we could tell them then if we wanted to leave Disney property or not.

So we said our farewells and Rig and I headed towards the front of the park.

Awwww, it's too bad you didn't enjoy Kali River Rapids. I love that ride! Though I'm not sure I would ride it on such a cold/rainy day like you did because a big reason for my enjoyement is getting refreshed on a hot day.

Hi Lee! I just found your Trip Report after it was mentioned in someone else's report. I'm enjoying it so far. You two seem like a really sweet couple! I'm only on page 50, but I'm catching up!
thank you and take your time catching up, I've been moving kind of slow lately.

Hi Lee!
Glad there was an update! And you are so sweet to reply back to all the comments.
Fun to hear about Rig in his bug glasses!:3dglasses
Ya'll are kind enough to post comments to me, I try and do my best to answer back, sometimes there;s just oo many comments because I waited too long in between updates.

i was laughing so hard i almost cried. hey tell rig that all is fair in love and key lime pie! it is great stuff. we've been together 18 years and lance knows there are some desserts we share and some we don't

Food sharing is a must, I had never been denied a bite of Rigs food and up until the keylime pie he had never been denied either.

I agree!:thumbsup2

That is so sweet, God Bless ya'll and here's a hug from me:hug:, sometimes when my husband is away for a bit I will put on one of his shirts, for me it's kind of like a hug.

May your love grow stronger each day.
May you never forget your vows.
May you have many children to impart them with the love and virtues you two possess.
And may they honor you and Rig forever.
And may your honeymoon never end!

God Bless you and Rig
I hope to meet you and Rig one day!

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

r1lissa.. I am praying for you and your "RIG". It must be very lonesome having him so far away and in the mist of war. My heart breaks for you.
You and your "RIG" will have many stories to tell... maybe they will be Tall Tales, too.
God Bless you and may you and your "RIG" meet again very soon!
Yes, r1lissa, my prayers are with ya'll as well.

.....................
As for pop or soda..
I always say... Soft drink
Funny how didfferent parts of the states call the same things something so different.

OK I'm midway through reading these. Truth or not, I find this entertaining. You have pretty much just crossed over every stereotype that us snotty Northerners have in our minds about people from the deep south...
I always considered El Paso to be more South West.

Two men named "Truck" and "Rig" that are brothers
I know it sounds unbelievable, but really it's not just the celebrities that give their kids wierd names, such as Gwyneth Paltrow naming her daughter Apple, every day people can be just as wierd. NOt that Rig is a wierd name:rolleyes1, just a little different.
"Babylee"
just a nickname, The south has nothing to do with it.
"Dad = Sir" ??
:confused3
"Cowboy"
I don't know what else to call a man who wears a cowboy hat and boots and rides a horse for a living. ;)
"Farm Hand"
Ranch hand
"Bossman"
I do call him by his real name, just not here on the boards.
"Pop"
:lmao: Did you get to the map part of the pop/soda/coke discussion yet? El Paso is in the blue for calling it Pop, and so is the place we're living in now. It's too funny, I didn't have to switch what I called it so people would know what I was talking about.
Running away from home to get married at 18
I wanted to runaway at 17:lmao:
I just keep reading and thinking there's no way this could be true. But probably wouldn't have thought twice about it being true or not had the above never been mentioned!
Ah well, I'm so over the is it true or not arguement, I just keep writing because I am having a good time doing so.
I realize that our husbands are our whole life - but at the same time, if ever anything happened - you need a support system. And having a life outside of each other as well as a life together keeps conversation and marriage interesting I think :)I agree with you there whole heartedly, my husband and I do have a life outside of eachother, and we have great friends, some of them older and love us as if we were there own.

P.S. That's a sweet wedding photo in your Signature, is that a castle on the top of your cake? Did you get married at Disney?

Off to read more. popcorn::
Thank you for reading. :)

No worries! Friends are super important! :yay:
OMG! friends are super important, I would love to tell of my halloween adventures with Ally, but it's so off the Disney topic.

I finally got caught up again! Can't wait to read more!
Well there you go, I just updated.;)

Wow! I started reading this at 3 am when my daughter decided she didn't want to sleep anymore, and I've been reading it off and on all day... This has to be one of the most captivating trip reports I've ever read. You have a very nice style of writing. Thank you for sharing with us!

Thank you for reading, sorry your baby girl won't sleep for you at 3:00am, what a precious girl though, her pictures in your signature are so Angelic.
