Helloooo. I figured I should start a (pre)trip report for WDW. I've never done one before, but I love reading them.
In our party is:
We used to go one summer every time our parents felt like planning a trip. Now we go just about every year, but we've just started doing that.
The "Cast":
Me, 13
Brother, 13
Brother, 5
Mom
Dad
Our previous trips were:
2000(my first trip): I was 6 and coming out of Kindergarten. We stayed for 7 days during Easter break. We stayed at the Swan side of the Swan and Doplhin. It was very fun from what I remember, but some of the villains at the parks seemed to intimidate me a bit. (Jafar.....)
2004 (Wow, big time difference!): We stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort. I was 10 years old. That year we had went with my cousin's family as well. It was me, my two brothers, my parents, my cousin, and her parents. 8 people! :O Hehe, we went in late August through early September. Just our luck, Hurrican Frances hit Florida around the time of our departure. We figured it was just going to rain a bit more. Well, it was bad. Our flight home was cancelled and we had to rent a car and drive home. 21 hours in a mini-van with 7 other people all around you!! It was crazy. My little brother (then 3) was crying through the trip, until he discovered a coffee pot to play with. We were so relieved to get back home!
2006: This was last year. We stayed at the Swan and Dolphin, the Dolphin side. (In my opinion, better than Swan). We had a great time! Tackling more rides than before. This trip was very well planned.
And now, for our 2007 trip to the World.
We are going to stay at the Swan and Dolphin, on the Dolphin side again. We tried the Port Orleans but it was booked. As a matter of fact, just about all the hotels were booked, except the POP Century and ALL Star Resorts. We didn't want to stay there.
We are going for August 28 (yeah, we're very late planners)
Its going to be me, my mom, and my two brothers. My dad is going to come for the last three days of the trip because he can't get out of work for too long.
So far:
Booked the plane tickets. August 28 through September 4th
Booked our hotel.
We didn't get our Park Hoppers yet. Last year we saved it until the end, and the prices shot up again. I'm hoping that we get them soon, just in case. We are most likely going sometime this week to the Disney Store near us to purchase them.
We purchased our Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World and our Passporter. (Can't go on a trip without them)
Now, we need to:
Get swimsuits!
Purchase Park Hoppers
Fill in our Passporter
Pack up the luggage.
Watch some disney movies (feeling that magic before helps get through the anxiousness of actually being there soon)
........
........
........
Dance!
UPDATE: We booked a couple of restaurants.
We are going to Crystal Palace and Coral Reef so far for the second and third day of our trip. Can't wait. I have never been to Coral Reef before but we've been going to Crystal Palace since our first trip. Thanks so much for reading!
This is my first pre-trip report so I hope I put everything I should in!
