My first actual "weekend".....what do you do?

So this is my first weekend....with my old job I worked 12 hour shifts and had to work 3 days a week and every other weekend..well I started my new job on Monday and now I am like most normal people and now have Saturday and Sunday off....
So share with me what you do on your weekend?

Well, depending on the time of the year we spend our weekends either golfing, watching the kids' marching band or watching them golf .

Actually, this winter the kids haven't been in any sports--this is a first for me since I have either been playing, coaching or parenting a kid that has played basketball since I was in 7th grade so our weekends have been very quiet.

This weekend I am going to organize my closet and take DS14 shopping for a tie for jazz band--very exciting I know. If we get really motivated we will drive over to the outdoor driving range (they have heated stalls so you are plenty warm) and hit some golf balls.

lets see, today we are going to a kids birthday party, tomorrow probably taking a drive over to the coast for waterside dining ( seafood ), and hubby has off monday too, but we are getting our furnace cleaned and a repair so we will stay home

 

[The Mystery Machine]

Last night we went out to a Trivia Night for a charity fundraiser.

Today, we are dropping off cars to get checked. One of them needs to have the tires looked at and the other needs an oil change. DH is running to the post ofice prior to that to drop off some bills/Netflix movies.

We have already started laundry and I plan to dust, mop, vacuum, etc. this morning when I get back.

Then dh is going to do the brakes on my brother's GF's car.

I have to wake up my 13yodd and get her breakfast and her homework going soon. I promised to go see Avatar with her this weekend, so I am going to squeeze that in there somewhere.

Plus, my dogs are in desperate need of a serious walk in the park so I am going to do that as well today/tommorrow.

Oh and tommorrow DH and I are putting together a Powerpoint presentation for my college dd. She is a bit lost and we are going to get our thoughts out in an organized fashion and go over options with her. We figured we can stay on task and take some of the emotional mess out of it doing it this way. It is important we have a serious talk with her when she comes home next weekend.

Well, today I am teaching a class at the local community college. Right now my students are doing a lab which means I get to sit here and wait for them to ask questions. So, I surf during labs.

I work 80+ hours a week so I'm at the office every Saturday unless I'm on vacation. On Sundays, my husband and I go out for lunch, to a movie, visit with adult kids, etc.

Run errands, go the gym, sleep in a little bit, that sort of thing.

Right now, I'm doing none of that because I'm housesitting for my parents. I'm sitting on their couch, DISing and watching Life After People on the History Channel.
