I'm so sorry that you are going through this!! Divorce is hard on everyone, especially the children. As others have said, I hope you have a strong support network...it can make a wonderful difference. My sis and I were going through divorces at the same time and our family was the best to help us get through. Also, be sure to get a good lawyer who will fight for your best interest and that of your children. I found out the hard way the my original attorney did not have DS's or mine in her mind...took years to get things worked out afterward.

As others have conveyed....I'm so sorry. I am always so saddened when I hear of the termination of a family unit. Any chance of trying counseling? You seem to sound surprised too, like one of my friends. She had no idea that her husband was so miserable that he ended up "with" a friend of his wife's! (Dirt bag!) They have 2 children & his mistress has 4 children. So sad to know how many people's lives the "new couple" have affected. As I tell my friend, keep your chin up & a smile on your face for your kids sake, but you can cry to me anytime.
