Hi Folks,
Just thought i'd fill everyone in on my rental experience using the ea.
There was a bit of confusion prior to my departure from lga into mco. My printed confirmation did not match what national had in their database. After several phone calls, everyone I spoke with told me I had to go to the counter to rectify the problem. Wrong!!
Long story short. I arrive in Orlando at 4pm. Head to the counter where, after a Q&A session with the agent, was told to just go to the lot, pick a car, and give paperwork to kiosk agent.
After explaining the situation yet again she hands me back my print out and says she fixed it. No problem at all.
By the way, only a handful of cars available. A couple Buick LeSabres and one or two grand ams. We got a brand new LeSabre--very nice!!
Drop off was a breeze. Now this is the best part. For a seven day rental including all taxes---$96.00. That kiosk agent sure did "fix it"
.
Some advice, as everyone else has stated---print out all coupons and confirmations. I had 2 sets of confirmation/coupons with me just in case.
All in all a good experience which I would repeat. My only complaint would be about the incorrect information I received from two managers about having to go the counter.
Also, a heads up for all you alamo renters. Every counter was empty--free of lines--except for alamo. I saw about 20 people waiting at the counter.
