My door did not open for me!!!!!

Well, we are staying at BWV and I demanded that we be able to use the pool at stormalong bay because my child is afraid of the clown. They rudely told me that is not possible. Does anyone have an e-mail or phone number of someone in charge. I paid enough for my DVC and should be able to use any pool I want!!!

Well, you must not have complained to the right person. After our stay at BWV I wrote a letter to DVC Member Satisfaction and they paid for my son to go to counseling for the scary clown problem. We are all good now. His twitch is almost gone. ;)

We very rarely do laundry - too busy filling our year of a million dreams mugs with Beverley at EPCOT (our whole family loves it). The only thing we find we need is more towels as I'm sure Mouskeeping don't come into our villa every day... what's up with that?? No worries though, we just grab a few handfuls from the pool we're visiting that day (normally SAB if we can hurdle over the gate to sit and drink our Beverleys). Of course we always leave our used ones - we wouldn't want them to think they were a few towels short ;)
Now we had it rough.

There was 150 of us staying in a studio at OKW, disney felt we had to actually pay for more than ONE refillable mug!!??? ***!!??!!!

When we went to Pecos Bills and brought along 10 packages of hamburg rolls to make condiment sandwiches with off the toppings bar....THEY ACTUALLY STOPPED US!!!

The last straw however, was when we tried to make a little extra spending money by putting up signs in DTD area hotels offering our "discount laundry service". We got a call and was told we could NOT take in other's laundry and use the free machines by the pools for this purpose!!!???!!!!

I doubt we are EVER going back!!!!

:rotfl:

I just love staying at the Boardwalk Villas.

The complimentary surrey bikes, sea raycers, and pontoon boats are fabulous.

I particularly like the one that goes into Epcot with free dinner and dessert. However, that can be quite the hassle. There always seems to be 10 or 12 people yelling and screaming at me whenever I stroll onto this cruise. I just wave as I see them on the dock with their banners and birthday cakes. What's the big deal?

The word "ARRRRRGH" came to mind when I read this. pirate:

This thread continues to have me :rotfl2::rotfl: and  After Irene, I didn't think things were so bad, but schools are still out in NE CT, and there are still lots of power outages. I have some survivor's guilt that we didn't lose power, just cable for a little bit.

Keep up the cheer for us!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::lmao::lmao::lmao: finally I've found someone who loves Beverley as much as I do! Tasty!

I was sent a bottle of champagne after my wife and I got married. It was waiting in our room at the Grand Floridian that was a free upgrade to a Park view instead of parking lot view.

After all this, these "cast members" couldn't even send someone up to open the bottle for us, we had to open it ourselves!!!!

Infuriated...........

I didn't think about pirates when I wrote that...but...ok...

Well, then, I confess, it is my intention to commandeer one of these ships, pick up a crew in Tortuga, raid, pillage, plunder and otherwise pilfer my weasely black guts out.

Can not get more pirate than that!

OMG! Thank you all. I didn't look at this thread the first few days because I thought it would be a complaint thread, and I didn't want to go there. I finally sneaked a peek and this has been hilarious! Love it!

I like my DVC, but I have to admit that sometimes I question the decor. Since its my home, next trip I'm bringing a can of paint. Don't you guys think a rich burgandy wall would really warm up the BWVs?

As I understand it in the contract, since you own it you can paint it. And I quote: Article 4, Section 3: Pertaining to changes within each unit: "All owners may make necessary changes to the decor of each unit as they see fit including but not limited to: painting, flooring, electrical, and demolition of walls to create a more spacious environment for the enjoyment of the owners."

Go ahead and open up that standard view wall and make it a pool view!

You're going to paint the wall yourself? I thought the maids were supposed to take care of that before we check in. Your rooms haven't been customized to your individual taste in the past? Wow, you need to get an email off to member satisfaction ASAP. There must have been a glitch when your guide input your personal preference questionnaire into the system.

This happened to us, once, too. It resulted in our Princess Anne canopy bed being mistakenly set up in the second bedroom instead of the master bedroom. It ruined our entire vacation.

It's important to make sure this preferences profile is up to date because it's also used with the DVC-eHarmony interface they use to make sure only compatible families are put in the rooms on either side of yours.

THANK YOU SO MUCH to the OP for this thread!!!! I was just reading about way too many silly complaints and this is just what I needed ;)

We love Disney, love DVC, and if my DH, 2 DSs (5 and2), and I had our choice - we would just live in a DVC resort ;)

They don't let you do that? You need to speak to your guide.

By owning 25 points, you get to stay in as large of a villa as you want whenever you want, for however long you want, with whatever furnishings you choose.

Love the satire. Its not just DVC. We see a lot of entitled people here during the summer. That would be another whole thread. If I didn't like this thread I wouldn't keep reading it.

I love this thread too!

And unfortunately there are a lot of entitled people everywhere--not just WDW!

Same with me! I have been laughing outloud since post 1. My cats think I'm crazy. :cat::cat:
