Haha, I don't eat all of the dishes. Many times I am with a group of people and I just take pictures and/or take a bite of the food. As an example, in the case of the the holiday pizza, I didn't actually eat that item.
In general, I don't like the food festival carts or popular snack items (ex. garlic bread, churros, corn dogs). I've never had a turkey leg, a pretzel, or popcorn from a cart. In
Disneyland, I've never eaten at Bengal BBQ, Cafe Daisy, Harbour Galley (except for the cookies) or Market House. It has been 20+ years since I've eaten at Galactic Grill, Royal Street Veranda or Club 33. Other than the Wookie Ookie above, I've eaten once in SWGE. Since I know nothing about SW, I can't tell you what the items were or where they were ordered from. In DCA, I haven't eaten at Adorable Snowman, Angry Dogs, Boardwalk Pizza, Clarabelle's, Ghiradelli's, Jack Jack's, Poultry Palace or Club 1901. I ate half of a pesto cone at Cozy Cone and got sick. As such, I haven't returned, or tried anything, from the other Cozy Cone huts. I don't drink alcoholic beverages so that eliminates a lot of places.
I think my favorite counter service restaurant in DL is Tiana's. I like their gumbo and the half chicken. I just told my spouse that I wouldn't mind trying Hungry Bear BBQ again. When we ate there, the brisket sandwich was really good. I've only had it once, and only ate a quarter of it, so I don't know if it is consistently good. My least favorite are Red Rose Tavern and Alien Pizza Planet.
I rarely eat at Disneyland restaurants that require a reservation. The meal I had at Cafe Orleans was good, but it was a seasonal item. I had a really good pancake at Carnation Cafe. Maybe it is just on my mind because the RB pancakes were so bad.
In DCA, I think the Paradise Gardens seasonal items are usually quite good. I also like San Fransokyo, but the items I've ordered multiple times haven't been consistent. Still, I think San Fransokyo is a great place to eat for large parties with different tastes. For reservations, Carthay Circle would be my favorite.
Desserts: Hands down the Snickers macaron that is at the carts during Food & Wine. Otherwise, I'm a candy apple person. However, I bring them home and don't eat them at the parks.
