My Disney Birthday Wish Came True! – June 2025 Trip Report (Updated 10/26 x2!!)

Day 5, Part 5: The Four Seasons!

We last left off taking a break in the room.

Around 4 we started to get ready, and at 4:45 I called for a Minnie Van. I got one, but it was a little ways out, not arriving for about 20 minutes. So we finished getting ready before making our way downstairs to wait for our car.

Our Minnie Van arrived at 5:05, and soon we were on our way to Golden Oak! One thing that I found really interested was just how wooded it is between the WL and Golden Oak. It was easy to forget that we were still on Disney property!

It was a fast ride over, but we did have some trouble at the gate to get into Golden Oak, apparently someone important was going to be at the Four Seasons so they were doing extra screenings that evening, but they eventually let us through. The Minnie Van driver even commented she’s never seen anything like that before, so now I’m dying to know who was going to be at the Four Seasons that night!

We arrived at 5:25, and made our way inside.

Guys, this resort is nuts. I though the WL was quiet compared to most Disney resorts, but this was a whole new level of calm and quiet. You could hear a pin drop. Also, I felt so ridiculously underdressed, everyone we passed was dressed to the 9s, ballgowns, tuxes, all the glam.

Our plan this evening was to do a bit of exploring before dinner, but it felt a bit awkward doing that. Like I felt like we were being watched the entire time, and I wasn’t sure what their rules were about non-guests exploring. So we walked down the main hall a bit, checked out the stores and looked at the menu of the Lobby Bar before making our way to the front desk. I wanted to talk to someone for two reasons, first I had no idea where the restaurant we were going to was located, and two, I wanted to see if they had a brochure or something since we want to stay there next year.

We ended up chatting with the sweetest woman at the front desk, she told us we were more than welcome to explore as much as we wanted, then whipped out a map of the resort to show us all the cool places there and amenities they offered. We chatted with her for a while before heading to the elevators to get up to Capa!

Next up: Capa!

I had brunch at ravello . Can’t wait to gear about Capa. It is a beautiful resort .

Here there were plenty of chairs, yay! The pool was pretty crowded though, but at least there were empty chairs, and it wasn’t as bustling as the main pool.
We love the villas pool. There are always chairs available. :)

That would be fun. I've heard good things about Four Seasons.

Oh, we're planning on eating there in June! Yeah, the Four Seasons is gorgeous, I can't wait to stay there to really be able to check everything out!

Yeah, it was definitely a lot less chaotic than the WL pool! I couldn't believe how crazy that pool was!

I can't wait to stay there, the pool area looks amazing, and the resort as a whole is just beautiful. Plus we can easily get to Capa which we cannot wait to go back to!

I'm catching up but OH MY GOODNESS YOU GOT TO SKIP THE PRESHOWS?! My husband would be SO jealous...we hate those pre-shows too, such a pain. What an amazing birthday present!!!!

Yes! It was amazing, I wish I could skip them every time! It was the perfect birthday present.

Day 5, Part 6: Capa! Part 1

We last left off heading upstairs in the Four Seasons to Capa! Our reservation was at 6, but we headed up at 5:40. The woman at the front desk was pretty certain they’d be able to seat us immediately.

Turns out she was right! We checked in and were brought back to our table.

Our table this evening was in the lounge, there are two parts to the restaurant, the lounge where we were, and the main dining room with views into the kitchen. I’m actually happy we ended up in the lounge since that is where the guitarist was, and we specifically booked on a Saturday since that is one of two days they have live music.

After settling into our booth, our waiter came by to talk about the menu. He was amazing, not only him, the entire staff was. The service here I would say was even better than at Victoria and Alberts, it was just so amazing!

Anyways, we had an idea already what we wanted to do, basically we wanted to get a bunch of stuff to split including the wagyu flight. He suggested that we order one or two dishes at a time to see how we were feeling before ordering more. This was a brilliant suggestion since we did want to make sure we had room for the wagyu flight, but wanted to do some appetizers and tapas first.

We started with ordering drinks. I got the Buena Vista with jalapeno infused tequila, and mom got the Capa gin and tonic.

My drink was amazing, I recently got into infusing tequila at home, and my favorite one is the spicy one, so this was right up my alley. My mom loved her drink as well, it was very refreshing. It’s funny, I actually told our waiter how I was getting into infusing tequila at home as well and we got into a long discussion about how they infused the drinks there!

The first course we got was the ensalada tomate per our waiters recommendation.

Ok, you would think this would just be a basic salad with tomatoes and cucumbers right? Nope! This was delicious! I didn’t know tomatoes and cucumbers could taste so good! It was so incredibly fresh, and the dressing was so flavorful.

Our next course was the patatas bravas, and our waiter recommended having them add chorizo to it, so we decided to try that.

This was phenomenal. I love patatas bravas, and these were some of the best I’ve ever tried. Plus the chorizo went perfectly with them!

Next we ordered two dishes, the bacon wrapped dates and the croquetas.

These were another two great dishes. Although it’s hard to go wrong when you wrap something in bacon. :rotfl: I did prefer the dates over the croquetas, but they were both very good.

Next up: Capa! Part 2

Day 5, Part 7: Capa! Part 2

We last left off enjoying more of the small dishes we had ordered, the bacon wrapped dates and croquetas.

Once we had finished most of this course, we were finally ready for the wagyu flight. We decided to order it with the wine pairing. Our waiter informed us the chef recommended to order it medium-rare, so we went with the chef’s recommendation. We also ordered the maize since my mom likes having veggies with her steaks.

Shortly after ordering, the sommelier came over with the wines to tell us about each one and which wine to pair with which wagyu.

The wines we had this evening came from America, Spain, and France. The American wine was supposed to be paired with the American Wagyu (the sommelier joked he tried to make it easy to remember ::yes:: ), the Spanish wine went with the Australian Wagyu, and the French wine went with the Japanese wagyu.

PXL_20250607_230947417.jpg

Guys, this wine was amazing. I looked up the bottles when I got home and these are all $75-$200 bottles. Compared to the wine we got at the chefs table at Victoria and Alberts where the wines were all $20-$40 bottles, this was definitely an elevated experience!

Shortly after getting our wine, the wagyu and maize were brought out…and a minute later a server brought out a surprise dish for us, the beet salad! At first we were all “oh we didn’t order this…” but they told us our waiter ordered it for us since he thought we’d love it and it was on the house. WHAT! So amazing. I seriously loved our waiter.

Ok, so the wagyu. I have seen people talk about steaks melting in your mouth, and it’s always seemed like a total exaggeration, like I’ve had good steak, but it’s never actually melted in my mouth. Even the wagyu at Takumi Tei didn’t melt in my mouth. Guys….this wagyu proved me wrong. It actually does melt in your mouth. This was the most amazing thing I’ve ever tried.

So as mentioned before, you get three types, American, Australian, and Japanese. We decided to each try a piece of each at first to see which we liked the best. The Japanese won hands down, but the other two were still better than any steak I’ve ever had.

The steaks were also served with a variety of salts, so we tried them all with the different steaks. I found I preferred the steaks plain, they really didn’t need anything else to enhance the flavor.

The maize was also delicious, and I’m not someone who usually likes corn or maize, but it was so good here! The beet salad was also really good.

Guys, we are obsessed, we LOVE Capa!

Once we finished this course, our waiter brought out the dessert menu, but we were sooooo stuffed we sadly declined.

But he wasn’t done with us yet!

A few moments later suddenly not just one, but THREE desserts were brought out for us on the house! 😲

Apparently, our waiter couldn’t decide which one he thought we’d like the best, so sent us all three.

We were shocked. This man was amazing!

PXL_20250608_002121710.jpg

The desserts were all delicious, the churros where my favorite, I’ve never had churros this good before!

Overall, this was one of the best meals of my life. We felt like royalty, the service throughout the meal was even better than at Victoria and Alberts, and the food was some of the best food I have ever tasted. We also felt less rushed than we did at V&As, we were able to take our time this evening, it ended up being a 3.5 hour meal! We loved it so much we have plans to go back twice in the next few months!

After finally finishing up, we made our way downstairs where I called for a Minnie Van to come get us, and got one right away.

It was a quick drive back to the WL, and soon we were popping into the lounge to grab a quick glass of wine before making our way back to the room to finish packing and rest for the night.

Next up: Mimosa Flights!

I'm so glad you liked it! Now you have me thinking I need to go back ASAP. The service really is exquisite. I just love that you get to have these special experiences with your mom!

It was so amazing, thank you again for recommending it, we would never have tried it if you hadn't! I can't wait to go back there, we're even bringing my dad next time, he's not really a foodie, but he really wants to try it after hearing my mom and I rave about it!
