We're traveling at the end of May and I had certain requirements I had for our flight. We had to fly in and out of HPN, wanted to leave early in the a.m. and return late in the p.m. The flights needed to be reasonable as there are 4 of us traveling and DH insisted this be a budge trip.:) Anyhow, I booked the flight down weeks ago, but the flight I really want on the return was too expensive. Several times I almost booked it at an undesirable time, but today JACKPOT! The flight I wanted went down to what I was willing to pay and I snagged it. So happy!:woohoo: Just thought I'd share.......:cloud9:

Congratulations!! :)

You must have nerves of steel because I would never have been able to wait this long to book a May flight. I already have my flight booked for our September trip.

Yeah, desperation makes us do crazy things.:upsidedow

Congratulations!! I've been lurking around for our December tickets but plan on waiting just a bit longer.

Trish

I'm a lot like you. I have our tickets purchased for our 4th of July trip one way and am watching and waiting to book the return flight. I like leaving in the evening but right now those flights are higher than I want to pay. Keeping my fingers crossed that I score like you!

Great news!!! I am seeing alot of May flights going down to acceptable prices so I will just perserver (sp?) and keep hoping my July/Aug ones will go down at some point :confused3. It's soon going to be cheaper for us to drive...take longer , but that can just be the start of our vacation.......:rotfl2:

Well done. I would never have had the courage to wait it out this long.

I booked with Southwest for the week before 4th of July, not bad prices, but I'll keep watching to see if the price goes down, I'll take the credit for a future trip.

Good for you! I have no patience...I booked our fares R/T from Newark to Orlando back in December and we aren't going till August, but with the insurance for all four of us it was still under $250 per person, so I can live with that.

I too booked our flight down for Aug 5 for $109, but am still waiting on the return, it is double that!! I hope I have the guts to wait and not panic.....When are you going? We are staying CR until Aug 15.

You mean, there may be some hope for us????

We're looking for June 25-July 8......checking EVERY day, at least 5-6 times/day
All I see is the fares going up, up, up...
I'm trying not to panic just yet. Hopefully a "Summer Sale" will be announced soon. Keeping my fingers crossed (but it's not looking too good):sad2:
