My DH is great. I love the guy to death, but when it comes to shopping he is clueless. It's not his fault really because I do most of the shopping and he just doesn't realize the price of things and how quickly it adds up. And I shop at inexpensive places too, like Kohls, JCPenney, Target, etc.

And when it comes to grocery shopping he's finally learning how expensive that can be. He comes shopping with me now so he can see the prices! :goodvibes

Just don't give him a shopping list on his own. Last time I sent him to the store I told him to get one package of English muffins to try because I wasn't sure the kids liked them. He came back with 6! They were on sale he says. Okay, but 6? :earseek: He said he'd eat them so guess what he's been having for breakfast alot lately. ;) He knows I like to kid him about that stuff. And he takes it in stride. Gotta love him.... and do the shopping myself. :rotfl:

Sounds like my DH. When we were buying new furniture for the house and I was showing him the "choices" he started griping about the prices. He felt we should be able to get a living room set for about $500 so I took him to the furniture store and showed him what a $500 living room set looked like (we bought 2 couches, 2 chairs, a coffee table, and 2 end tables that he thought we should be able to get for that price). Big surprise there weren't any in that price range :rotfl: . I showed him what a $500 couch looked like and he gave up.

Clothing shopping is hopeless. He thinks I can get an entire season of clothing for all 3 kids for less then $100. I told him he could go ahead and find those great deals, he hasn't yet. Heck, socks and underwear alone cost over $100 for the family.

I hear you on this one. I don't send DF to the store much anymore. I think in a past life, he was living in the Depression or something. When he sees a "good deal" he can't resist the urge to hoard...even though there are just 2 of us living here within a mile of a nice grocery store. The result is we've got about 3 frozen loaves of bread and a gigantic tub of peanut butter that would feed an entire elementary school.

Oh, he buys strange things too. I sent him to the store the other night for taco seasoning. He comes home with 4 bags of taco seasoning, two of them reduced-sodium. :confused3 Neither of us are watching our sodium. Sometimes I don't understand him, but by golly do I love him!! :love2:
