My DFTW featured in a magazine!

Hey there girls (and you lone guys too)!

I had to start a new thread and scream it from the top of my lungs (thanks to a fellow Disbride and friend Vanessa who gave me the idea) that my Disney Fairy Tale Wedding is featured in a magazine! I got so very lucky and my photographer (Damon Tucci Studios) sent my pictures in to a contest for the magazine and they won! Yea!!! I wanted to share my joy, and the magazine and article with all you fellow Disbrides. I hope you all can go out and get it (or at least read the article and put it back afterwards so you don't have to pay for it!) Happy reading!

This is excellent - maybe it will help remove some of the stigma Disney weddings have among the general populace (although I'm wondering if your article is the reason Destination Weddings & Honeymoons changed their minds about running our wedding in the Spring issue... cuz, you know, heaven forbid they feature more than one Disney wedding! )

I thought I saw another Disney wedding in a mag. They showed the Cinderella castle in white chocolate if I remember correctly... I'll have to see if I can find it!

Oh my gosh! Now I feel really bad! I sure hope I'm not the reason they didn't pick you! I have to say though, that I feel the same way you do about the whole Disney stigma thing. The pictures featured from our wedding are very elegant and tasteful and hopefully that will help the general public (you know, the ones without the Disney obsession) to see how elegant, yet so much fun a Disney wedding can be!

I am not a Disbride, however i had a Disneymoon back in 1994......ANYWAY....... The pictures I have seen on this board beat any wedding pic i have seen. These pics are fun, elegant, beautiful!!!!!!! i never even knew there was a stigma to a Disney Wedding!! I think you girls are so fortunate to have one!!!!!!!

Why is there even a stigma? I feel sorry for non Disney brides. My cousin paid what I am gonna pay for our wedding and she had a very standard country club wedding. Which is perfectly fine if that is what you are going for. I just don't get the whole stigma thing. Also, what is up with the knotties?? This is really the only wedding board I go to so I am clueless.

YaY! Congratulations! So yes, I used to go on the knot a bunch until I happen to stumble upon some of the disney boards and it is wayyy better!! A lot of the girls on the knot think it's rediculous to get married at disney and there is such a big stigma like previously stated!! I can't wait to see the article!
