My dd2 was called a BRAT today @Walmart:(

For those who complain that we're beating a dead horse (and really...what else is there to talk about around here lately??)

Why do YOU keep coming back to read? ;)

BECAUSE!

To try to figure out why people are STILL beating the dead horse? :lmao:

I last looked at this thread over 24 hours ago, and I can't believe it's still going strong! I thought for sure it was headed for a lock yesterday.

Reading this thread, I am mystified by the phenomenon that is Walmart. I almost wish they'd open one around here just so I could see for myself what it's all about.

I can see folks getting worked up over discussing the behavior of children in public, but a store? It baffles me.

It made me laugh. Does that mean she gets to reinstate her 'lmao'? What are the rules on this? ;)

I do agree with you. I'm not a mother; yes, screeching children annoy me. But I would never be bold enough (is bold the right word?) to approach anyone about their child's behavior.

And yes, I can actually picture one of the employees at my local Walmart laughing in my face if I asked them to handle a situation that is "bothering" me.

Oh, no, once that lmao is taken away....it's gone 4-ever.:thumbsup2
You know how it is....sometimes ya read a post and it just hits ya the wrong way. I'm not mad or anything.

I agree, I can't imagine that a Walmart employee (or any employee) would be interested in stepping into a situation like this.

Wow, it took 2 days but I finally made it to the end of this nutty thread!!!

Add me to the OP and Old lady were both wrong camp.

Add me to the Wal-Mart is evil, but the customers are entertaining camp.

I wonder if we'll ever get a Wal-Mart here in NYC

Thank goodness you are all still here. I was worried I would come on after dinner to find this thread forgotten about on the bottom of the second page. Keep it going, we can catch up to the Jon and Kate threads

She can have mine, since she made me laugh, too. :lmao: :)

I swear, at the Walmart closest to me you could start a naked limbo party in the garden section and try to roast your fellow shoppers like pigs at a luau and the employees wouldn't say a word about it. That place is terrible. (I don't know if it's awful because the employees are bad, or if the employees have just given up because they work in such a terrible store.) There's another Walmart that's a little further away from me that is great, though. I don't shop there often but when I have they've been really helpful. I've even seen them ask parents to control their kids (most notably after a Heely wearing middle schooler almost took out a couple of families and several displays) and I think they would have asked the OP to take her little screecher outside.

Naked limbo party? Now that would be entertaining.:lmao:

Hmmmm....I see a potential DISboard meetup here! Anyone want to volunteer to host? :rotfl:

I think the OP, what is her name...5 'Lil Twinkles or Twinkies...or something like that....should host it!

Who wants to PM her and let her know?

Since you mentioned it, I think you should contact her.:thumbsup2:rotfl:

They could have the naked limbo along with the screeching child.....what a wild and crazy time that would be.:lmao:

The point I'm trying to make is that I would NEVER approach anyone in a public place and tell them to control their child. You can take your lmao back, because it wasn't funny, in my opinion.

Actually, I've found most employees at the Walmart in my area, to be quite helpful whenever I've asked for help in finding an item, or whatever.

I'm not taking it back and you can't make me! If you don't like my LMAO then you can go somewhere else. People LMAO all over. Message boards=LMAO. ;):flower3:

Seriously though, the walmart here is far from a helpful place. If you can actually find an employee they are usually clearly annoyed that you actually have a question or that you want to pay for your items. For that reason alone I rarely go there.

As long as there is no screeching it might be fun!;)

You obviously haven't seen some of the people who shop there. Trust me, there would be screeching when people caught glimpses of the party. Some horrified screeching:scared1:, some decidedly not horrified screeching:lovestruc, but definitely screeching!

Oh come on, if we're getting naked then I expect some screeching.

Ya know, I stand corrected. We should all wear blindfolds. No need to make the old corneas bleed and all.:rotfl:

wow...i read this thread when it had only a few posts?!?!

My opinion is that....oh wait...I have a Disney Trip to plan and a life to live....never mind....
