This morning I made ressies at OKW for May 25th-30th (today was exactly 7 months) for a 2 Bedroom. I'm so thrilled! We love OKW, but unfortunately it's not our home resort. At 11 months we booked a 2 bedroom for those dates at our home, VWL, just in case. So there's one more available, everyone. I know we got exactly what we want and couldn't be happier. Oh-just remembered-I was so excited I forgot to ask for a golf course view! Have to call back now!

A golf course view may not be much of a view. But if you want that view I would suggest you use specific building numbers for your request. Keep in mind that OKW does not have room charges that relate to room location. Some views facing the golf course are really the worse you can get, because they are blocked by many trees to protect you from golf balls. Some of the better views if you are into views are of the ponds and water ways. With the first come first serve situation down there now you can probably get what you want with the help of the CM at check in.

Thanks, I know what you mean about those trees-we had a golf course view once where we really couldn't see beyond the trees. We just laughed about how it WOULD be a golf course view if we could see it! However, we'll chance it, I guess, because DH is a major golfer-to him "vacation" and "golf" are synonymous.

LOL, Simba's Mom! I've got one of those too, but we own at BWV. (His idea. Don't think he even knew about OKW when we bought BWV). I'm scared to stay at OKW for fear he won't want to stay at BWV anymore. (I love BWV and so far, I can't imagine staying anywhere else)!

Don't think DH even knows we can stay anywhere besides BWV - I get to make all the arrangements because he's usually a "don't care, whatever you want will be fine" kind of guy.

Yes, it could very well happen that he wouldn't want to stay anywhere else once he's seen OKW-especially if he plays golf at LBV about the same time. That's exactly what happened to us. On our first trip home to VWL, I made ressies for one night at OKW just to see our new options (there are no OKW model rooms so this was the only way to see it). Now DH says that he doesn't want to stay anywhere else except OKW, and if he'd known about it before we bought, he would have looked for a resale there instead of VWL. Good thing I go solo sometimes-I like to try out the different DVC resorts.
