Geesh.

I thought of you when I saw this thread yesterday. :lmao:

Mine has a plastic lid. I didn't even know they made crockpots with glass lids.

Glad no one was hurt!

Mine has a plastic lid also. I was thinking of getting a new one but I guess I'll stick with what I have! :scared1:

I got a new one!!:thumbsup2 I went with a Hamilton Beach 6 quart, they had it at my grocery store. It's REALLY nice!! It has clips that can hook the lid on in case you're taking it somewhere with food in it. :)

Where is RickinNY to say I told you so!;)

I had purchased a Hamilton Beach Slow Cooker on Saturday. I was planning on a nice dinner for friends when it exploded as I was about to add potatoes to it. I hadn't even touched it , thank goodness. Glass went everywhere including inside the food , floor & In my pets bowls. I was mortified. !!! I am waiting for the company to return my calls & E-mails. I posted pictures on their Facebook page in hopes that others are warned about the dangers of this product!

I was getting ready to post about how this thread is from 2008, and you guys beat me to it!

Well, since the thread is so old, it seems like the crock pot manufacturers haven't fixed the problem!! (and that's a crock of ****)

I had a pyrex measuring cup explode on me as I was putting it away once. Scary.

My crockpot had a plastic cover.

Sorry it's such a big picture! I resized it with photobucket so not sure what the problem is.

You probably didn't save the picture correctly, or you need to resize the pic down even more. :surfweb:

The pic was removed, didn't really feel like I needed to keep a picture of my broken crockpot forever. (This was my original thread, I have a new name now though)

...or perhaps the picture has been removed some time in the six years since she posted it? :rotfl2:

:lmao::thumbsup2
